Week 3: Wilderness Explorers! This week our campers traded the classroom for the great outdoors and became true explorers! Armed with binoculars, maps, and curious minds, we slowed down, looked closely, and practiced the art of mindful observation. From spotting birds and blooming flowers to discovering tiny details we might normally walk right past, every adventure reminded us that nature has something to teach us when we take the time to notice. We also became plant scientists during Propagation 101, learning how one little pothos cutting can grow into an entirely new plant. Watching new roots begin is a pretty amazing reminder that growth starts small. Between hiking, exploring, singing around camp, teamwork challenges, and making memories together, this week was full of curiosity, laughter, and adventure. 🌺✨ Week 2 at Camp Ed was giving tropical paradise! 🌴🌊 This week our campers soaked up all the island vibes with some unforgettable adventures: 🌸 Crafted beautiful handmade leis during Lei Making at Lake Balboa 🍙 Became junior chefs while making delicious Spam Musubi from scratch 💛 Explored our feelings in Inside Out Class, learning how to recognize, understand, and express our emotions in healthy ways 🏴‍☠️ Set sail on the high seas in Theater & Filmmaking, where campers transformed into pirates and brought their swashbuckling adventures to life on camera! And that's just the beginning! ⚾️ Sunday fun at the ballpark! Our Academy students had an amazing time spending Sunday at the game, cheering on the Los Angeles Dodgers, making memories, and enjoying a day filled with laughter, friendship, and community. Experiences like these help create meaningful connections and opportunities for our students to learn, grow, and have fun together.

Yesterday’s Voice Over class was one of those Academy moments we know we’ll remember for a very long time. Between the laughter, creativity, questions, and conversations, the room felt so full of joy and confidence.
