Last year, I was helping a friend find a property to rent.
The property was listed at 10,000 cedis for rent. It was out of his budget but he liked it. So we were trying to get the landlord to accept 9000 cedis for it.
Sadly, someone was ahead in the queue and got it. It’s a year later. The property is back in the market.
It is listed at 1500 dollars. (Nearly 17,000 cedis).
At the time it was 10,000 cedis, the dollar was 16. Meaning the dollar equivalent would have been around 625 dollars. Today the dollar is around 11, meaning the value of the rent should have been around 6-7 thousand.
Something is broken about Ghana. I can’t put my finger on it. But it’s not working la!

Men are the true lovers; they love a woman for who she is, not for what she has… can’t say same for my gender

The issue with Ghana is that the country's median age is 21. Statistically, very few Ghanaians have ever seen a Ghana that was a terrible place. The last such a Ghana existed was the era before Rawlings, when things were so bad that Ghanaians used to emigrate to Nigeria.
But if you were born under Rawlings, Kuffour or Ata Mills, you have never witnessed that type of terrible Ghana before, so I guess you'd imagine that this current version of Ghana has always existed, and you'd also have no concept of protecting the things you have because you've never known a reality when you didn't have them.
I hope they are never forced to lose their naivety the way we were forced to lose ours 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿

To the Ghanaians on my TL, I just hope you understand that these conversations about Ga vs Asante vs Ewe that have suddenly taken the front burner are not organic.
I've warned you before. The social engineers have turned their attention to you.
And if you don't intentionally kill this noise, you will wake up one morning and find that your country has turned into Nigeria. You people should wake up.

We were thrilled to host the team from the IEEE Ghana Section and the IEEE UMaT Student Branch at #TechAble.
I had the chance to walk them through our training tracks and share some exciting updates on our progress.

@TelecelGhana It is infuriating to pay for a service that rarely works and to deal with a support team that is either incapable or unwilling to provide solutions. #FIXTHIS
English

@TelecelGhana What’s even worse is your customer service, which seems deliberately designed to avoid helping anyone. Tickets remain unresolved for days, if not weeks. How can a company offering internet services in 2025 still fail so badly at the basics?
English

@TelecelGhana The quality of service has been nothing short of unacceptable—frequent disconnections, painfully slow speeds, and long periods of complete outage with zero communication or updates.
English

@TelecelGhana I express my deep frustration and disappointment with your Fiber to the Home (FTTH) service and, more importantly, your appallingly unresponsive customer support.
