We lit our chanucah candles tonight. It is a dark day, but we had children here so we tried to stay in the light. Wishing a happy chanucah as possible to all others celebrating and thanks to all those who've sent good wishes. Thoughts and prayers to all affected in Australia by this hideous anti-semetic attack.

We know that maintaining biodiversity is vital to the survival of humanity. It’s time that we celebrated & protected neurodiversity in the same way. At least 3m children in the UK are neurodiverse. Let’s support & empower them rather than place educational obstacles in their way.

Anon post: Curious to hear from others: how regularly do you do learning walks or lesson drop-ins, and what’s your go-to method for giving staff feedback quickly and effectively?

@Headteacherchat When a SENCO in school we did 'learning quests ' as drop ins to classes. Pupils then told whoever was wearing the 'learning quest' what they were doing. Made these drop ins feel more relaxed and we got to see whether the strategies we had suggested for that week were implemented
