In Greek, the phrase "it's all Greek to me" is "Αυτά μου φαίνονται κινέζικα" - "this strikes me as Chinese". In Persian, the language referred to is Japanese, in Slovak it's Spanish, and in Yiddish, it's Turkish.

Definitely an entertaining book. But also a good example of just how impossible it is to see the large changes in history if one does not bother to study data. If a big historian cannot do it, chances are that we all fail at it. So let’s take historical data seriously.
