Modern education tries to protect students from greatness because greatness creates objective standards. But young people desperately want standards. They want something higher than themselves to admire and live up to.

This might seem petty to some but to me its a deal breaker. Took the family to a "dine in" Pizza Hut last night. The waitress brings the menus and I notice it has no prices on it. I asked her for one that has the prices as that helps me decide what to order. She said that I could scan the QR code on my phone to get the prices. Great, but I have a rule at the supper table and its no cell phones, not even mine. So that wasn't an option unless I went back out to the car and get my cell phone. So I did go back out to my car along with my whole family and went to another pizza restaurant that had prices on the menu. Later on I checked on line and found out that it wasn't just this Pizza Hut but many of them lack menu prices because corporate frequently adjusts costs. Sorry corporate but, I think this is wrong. I want a menu with prices on it or I may think your are being deceptive.

The proposal called for a massive 20-megawatt data center, which raised concerns among residents about energy use, water consumption, noise, and whether the project would truly benefit the community. Growing up in Texas, we never walked through wet grass anywhere east of Dallas without spreading sulfur on our shoes and ankles. It it just what one did. I asked my mother about this and she said she learned it from her Aunt. It works like magic. Ticks and chiggers hate the smell and stay away. To my amazement, people in New England don't seem to know about this strategy or dismiss it as a "folk" remedy not based on science. Do we have here another case of lost knowledge?

The videos of animals crying, shaking, and bleeding out slowly as they’re tortured for Eid al-Adha are sick and gut-wrenching. This isn’t worship - it’s some of the worst cruelty I have seen. (Please STOP sending them to me) If a sacrifice is truly needed, let Muslims offer themselves instead of forcing terror and agony on defenseless animals who are literally tortured to death for Islam. As the animal bleeds out in agony, they recite “Bismillah, Allahu Akbar”—“In the name of Allah, Allah is the Greatest.” The very same words are shouted during most terrorist attacks. The same ritual. The same blood. The same god is being praised. Do they then bow over the corpse, offering its pain to Allah, who seems to revel in bloodshed, whether it's a goat or a human being? Only Islam's "Allah" would ever demand such suffering. There is no righteousness in this. Only horror, sanctified by violence and dressed up as faith. 🔴 America must ban this sickening ‘festival’ by law - just as the Dutch Party for Freedom (PVV) has demanded in the Netherlands, and Catherine Blaiklock, the founder of the Brexit Party, has in the UK. Perched on a bluff overlooking Omaha Beach — the very site where our heroes launched the greatest assault for liberty in human history — lie the final resting places of 9,389 American warriors who gave their last full measure of devotion during D-Day in World War II. These are not just graves. They are monuments to American courage, sacrifice, and the fierce belief that freedom is worth dying for. Among them: • 307 Unknown Soldiers — forever honored, never forgotten. • 1,557 names inscribed on the Walls of the Missing — their spirits still watching over the cause they served. • 45 pairs of brothers who fought and fell together. • Three Medal of Honor recipients and four heroic American women buried side by side with their brothers-in-arms. This sacred cemetery was established on June 8, 1944, just days after the invasion. This was the first American WWII cemetery on European soil.
