let me take you all through the @monstersuitapp universe from the ground up. A lot of people only see the surface the art, the drops, the characters but the whole thing is way deeper than most realize. This didn’t start as some quick NFT flip. It’s a whole damn ecosystem with lore, intention, and years of work behind it!

It all began with @RueNFTs the genesis. Just 100 pieces. Hand-designed. Not that auto generated stuff that flooded the space back then. Real craftsmanship. Fresh founded it, and he linked up with USGMEN, a Japanese artist with a legit following, to bring the vision to life. They launched it Feb 28, 2022. But honestly, the story behind Rue is what made people stick around.

@freshmoss wasn’t a “let me try NFTs because it’s trending” guy. He came from 12+ years in music — branding, artist development, marketing… he literally built careers from backstage. Tour manager for Roy Woods, content creator for Genshin Impact (the only community verified creator on their platform), worked with Demon Slayer VAs, wrote for Sesame Street, produced episodes for NatGeo… the résumé is wild.
And yeah, he collects graded vintage Pokémon too. Just to complete the picture.

What pulled him into NFTs wasn’t the hype. It was the idea of community people rallying around art, identity, and imagination. He always wanted to create characters, toys, comics, games… full universes. Rue, the Crystal Roots mascot, became the spark.

@crystalroots itself has a meaning. Roots feed the plant, plant gives us oxygen. Everything connected. Support leads to growth. That’s the backbone of the brand.

Rue the character is a digital ghost. USGMEN designed it to feel like a mirror to anyone. The whole “diamond in the rough” theme runs through it. Don’t judge people by the surface. Everyone’s got potential whether people see it or not.
