We explored critical topics such as the lasting impacts of colonisation, privilege, unconscious bias, and the importance of Treaty and Truth-Telling. The enthusiasm and engagement from everyone made these conversations all the more powerful and impactful.

The training aimed to deepen participants' understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders peoples, their rich cultural, historical context, and the ongoing challenges we continue to face challenges that still resonate deeply in today’s society.

I had the honour of spending the day with the Self Help Addiction Resource Centre Inc (SHARC), facilitating Aboriginal Cultural Awareness Training. It was an incredibly enriching experience, filled with meaningful and thought-provoking discussions.
