For the second time, my cancer has led to the development of pulmonary embolisms—this time with one in each lung and one in each leg. Additionally, I have developed a brain bleed.
Treatment for pulmonary embolisms typically involves administering blood thinners to dissolve the clots. However, blood thinners can exacerbate the brain bleed, as they promote bleeding.
It’s truly the worst of both worlds.
That's the dilemma we're currently addressing at Buffalo General hospital.

Update on my Clinical Trial. Maria and I are in Long Island now. Just got out of an MRI and have an update for you all.
Though I did have seizure setbacks this past month which have effected my mobility, I have some good news too.
Little bit of history on this clinical trial, it is on its 3rd phase.
Phase 1st. Was for a bunch of different cancers.
Phase 2nd phase was for multiple types of brain cancers.
Phase 3rd is specifically Anaplastic Astrocytoma IDH Mutant which it has the most positive effects on in the past phases. And is the exact cancer I have.
My scan looks really good the doctor used the term cautiously optimistic since we are only 2 months into a 6 month trial. But we are showing some positive results that are over my comprehension to explain. And I don’t want to accidentally give false information by under explaining or acidity misusing terms.
One thing I do want to make clear is that though clinical trials are amazing feats of technology when they work, they are not a cure in themselves, though I was told I can stay on this as long as it is effective.
Thank you all for your continued support as schools, as a district, so many individuals and students. There is no way I would have made it this far without the support or my Orchard Park family.
Wing’s of Hope flew us out!
