Larry Johnson: The Russians and Chinese are recognizing we’re at a transition point in history now, much like what happened at the end of World War II. Those institutions that came into being, including the United Nations—most people don’t realize that the League of Nations had continued to exist through World War II; it was just irrelevant. Well, guess what? The United Nations is no longer relevant because the Trump administration has declared that it doesn’t respect international law. There’s no such thing as international law. I think Russia and China are looking actually toward the future, where we’re going to need a new infrastructure, a new economic infrastructure where the United States can’t hold countries hostage. A new international law infrastructure that’s actually going to have some teeth to it, to prevent nuclear-powered countries like the United States and Israel from attacking a country that doesn’t have nuclear weapons.

At this very moment my thoughts go immediately to Canada's Melissa Bishop. She is the rightful GOLD MEDAL WINNER of the women's 800m at the 2016 #OlympicGames in Rio. Melissa deserves to be awarded this medal retroactively (along with the other podium winners) and the #Olympic archive needs to reflect the fact that #Canada won the gold ten years ago. #Justice #TeamCanada #cdnpoli
Linda Blade@coachblade

SHOCKING ⚠️ I just learned the reason for the baffling 🇨🇦silence at outcome of TOTALLY UNFAIR outcome of the 2016 #Olympics 800m women’s podium that featured three MALE winners, leaving #Canada’s #MelissaBishop in 4th place instead of winning 🥇 GOLD as she deserved: A lawyer from @TeamCanada threatened #Canadian head coach @Head1Coach as follows: “I was threatened by COC lawyers in 2016 not to speak up. If I said something I was told that I was going to be banned for life from sport.” I do have his blessing to post this for the first time in public. #UNSPORTING #UNETHICAL #cdnpoli

😡 INCOMING RANT - UTTERLY DISGUSTING AND INFURIATING! Taxpayer-funded CBC is COMPLETELY SILENT on the real Canadian hero we should be hearing about EVERY SINGLE DAY — 12-year-old Maya Gebala from Tumbler Ridge, BC! This brave little girl didn’t run or hide during the horrific Feb 10, 2026 school shooting that killed 8 people (including kids). She rushed to lock the library door to protect her classmates and teachers from the shooter. She was shot multiple times in the head and neck, left with catastrophic brain injuries, and she’s STILL fighting for her life in BC Children’s Hospital after weeks of surgeries and setbacks. A TRUE HERO!! A child who put everyone else first. Meanwhile, UFC boss Dana White steps up like an absolute LEGEND — offering to fly her to a world-class LA children’s hospital for top-tier brain trauma care, cover ALL medical costs, and even pay for her family’s accommodations! UFC even honored her in the Octagon. But what does our so-called “public” broadcaster obsess over instead? Liberal propaganda, some CEO who fumbled French, or Mark Carney’s bilingual messaging nonsense! CBC isn’t informing Canadians — it’s the Liberal microphone, wasting OUR hard-earned tax dollars while burying real Canadian stories and real heroes. This is beyond shameful. This is criminal neglect. WHERE IS THE DAILY COVERAGE ON MAYA?! Why aren’t you screaming this from the rooftops, CBC?! We pay your salaries — do your damn job! SHARE if you’re as furious as I am. Demand better. Demand they cover the heroes, not the hype. #MayaGebala #CanadianHero #CBCFail #DefundCBC #TumblerRidgeShooting #DanaWhiteStepsUp 🔥🇨🇦💔

“Nietzsche's only error, a properly Luciferian error (in the sense of ‘bringer of light’), was to have chosen violence against the innocent truth of the victim, a truth that Nietzsche himself was the only one to glimpse, in contrast with the blind positivism of all the atheist ethnologists and the Christians themselves. To understand that the twentieth century and its genocides, far from killing Christianity, make its truth all the more dazzling, you just have to read Nietzsche from the proper angle and to situate all the disasters caused by our Dionysian and sacrificial choices along the axis of his writings, the first of those disasters being the madness that was getting ready to swoop down on the thinker himself — a madness every bit as significant as the political madness and historical insanity [as in Nazism] that followed.” — René Girard

Girardism@Girardism

“The genius of Nietzsche made him capable of seeing that this value [the Christian concern for victims] defines our era; but he did everything he could to fight it. All he saw in the Christian attitude was resentment, endless jeremiads, mediocre pity: it was doubtless already a little true in his era, and it is even truer today; but it isn't true at the origin, nor fundamentally: he mistook the caricature for the original. The people who defend him today talk about every Nietzsche but that one: that one is the only true, the only one, and the only, Nazi thinker. We want to forget that Nietzsche and Nazism are indissolubly linked.” — René Girard

🚨On this day, exactly 27 years ago, the demonic pedo elite opened the gates of hell! In 1999, I was only 11 years old when that perverted maniac Bill Clinton, together with sick degenerates like Tony Blair, decided to bomb and kill my Orthodox Serbian nation - all in the name of radical Islam. More than 20 countries, backed by NATO and the EU, attacked Serbia - the heart of Europe, the first nation in the modern era to stand boldly against the threat of radical Islamism. Those who constantly preach about democracy and human rights spent 78 days deliberately murdering civilians, destroying our infrastructure, and trying to crush the spirit of an entire nation. They failed miserably. Instead of breaking us, they made us stronger. Today, 27 years later, the world can clearly see that we Serbs were right from the very beginning. As Europe now burns with constant terrorist attacks - mass stabbings and daily horrors - and as native Germans, French, British, and others can no longer safely walk their own streets, the brutal truth is undeniable: the criminal attack on my homeland was one of the greatest strategic disasters and moral betrayals in the history of the so-called international community. The United Nations has lost all legitimacy. International law has been destroyed. Satan himself struck at the children of Christ - but all he managed to do was ignite an even fiercer flame in our hearts. We emerged as some of the hardest and most defiant Christians on the face of this planet. Serbia was not defeated. The real defeat belongs to the pedo-regimes of the West. And today, thank God, we are witnessing a powerful awakening of patriots across that same West - people who understand that only by standing together can we save our continent. This is not the fault of the American patriot from Louisiana, the German from Dresden, the Frenchman from Lille, or the Englishman from Essex. The guilty ones are the globalist traitors who have been destroying their countries, their families, their freedom, and their children's future. The year 1999 marked the beginning of the nightmare we see engulfing the entire world today. For us Serbs - and for me personally - it became a sacred vow: we will never join NATO, and we will never submit to the failed and corrupt European Union. We will never kneel and become vassals of the sick, corrupt bureaucrats in Brussels. Our only true Leader is Jesus Christ - and before Him alone will we ever bow our heads. Only with God, and united with all European patriots - Serbs, Germans, Hungarians, French, English, and all the rest - will we smash this demonic system and reclaim our future. The fight ahead will not be easy. Many already know that. But there is no other choice: either we live free in our Europe… or we die in their communist-Islamic caliphate. We will never surrender. Christ is King.

On this day in 1999, NATO began bombing its illegal bombing campaign of Yugoslavia without permission from the UN Security Council. Between 1200-2500 civilians were killed and 5000 were wounded. During the 3 months of bombing, NATO dropped between 10-15 tonnes of depleted uranium bombs. After years of supporting right-wing nationalist forces to undermine and weaken the integrity of Yugoslavia, NATO begun its campaign to break up the socialist state. Though it claimed to be intervening to stop ethnic cleansing, the Assistant to US Secretary of Defense Strobe Talbott revealed the real reason for the war: "It was Yugoslavia's resistance to the broader trends of political and economic reform, not the plight of Kosovar Albanians, that best explains NATO's war.” NATO openly bragged about its destruction of Yugoslavia’s infrastructure, with its spokesperson Jaime Shea proudly saying in 1999 “And the fact that the lights went out in 70% of the country…we can turn the power off whenever we need to and whenever we want to.” Between the 24th of March and 5th of June 1999, 78 industrial sites and 42 energy installations in Yugoslavia were damaged by bombing or missile strikes. The air strikes destroyed over 20 chemical and petrochemical installations, accounting for around 70% of Yugoslavia’s oil-processing capacity.

The alleged grave of St Patrick in Downpatrick. Sadly, not so. We know Ss Patrick, Brigid & Colmcille (Columba) were buried in the same tomb, variously in a secret place in the cemetery to protect them from Viking raids & then in a shrine tomb in Downpatrick cathedral. Various relics were also distributed throughout the Church: most significantly, the arm of St Patrick was sent to Pope Urban III in 1186, it’s now in the Basilica of San Marco in Rome (in 1870 a portion of it was returned to Belfast). St Brigid’s skull was sent to Lisbon in 1283 & other relics sent to Rome. During the Reformation, in 1538, Lord Grey, Lord Deputy of Ireland, on the orders of Henry VIII, burned down Downpatrick cathedral, tore open the tomb of the three Saints & desecrated the bodies, scattering the bones in the cathedral grounds, most of them probably being destroyed. The destruction of Catholic shrines & violation of Saints’ remains were common practices among Protestants at the time. So, apart from a few relics, the bodies of Ss Patrick, Brigid & Colmcille perished in the persecution of Catholicism in Ireland. The usual suggestion that what was left was secretly buried by Catholics is offered, but there is no definitive evidence of that beyond local traditions. The alleged grave is no more than a boulder placed over a site reputed by some to be the grave, original or otherwise. The boulder was placed there in 1900 to stop devotees taking soil as relics. But it’s a site for the tourists. If you want to see actual relics of St Patrick, St Patrick’s Church in Belfast has the relic sent back in 1870 & is usually brought out for blessings on the feast: and my own native parish of St Brigid in Clara, Co. Offaly, also has a first class relic of St Brigid, taken from the bones sent to Rome in the Middle Ages. The Scottish shrine of Carfin has a relic of St Colmcille & is now brought on pilgrimage in a new reliquary, as covered by the guys at @SanctaFamiliaTV.

People seemed to like my X post on English idioms that came from Newgate prison like one for the road. Here are some common phrases derived from British sailors. Thank you @grok. Three sheets to the wind — Extremely drunk or unsteady. (On sailing ships, "sheets" are ropes controlling sails; if three are loose in the wind, the boat veers uncontrollably.) Taken aback — Surprised or shocked (often unpleasantly). (When a sudden shift in wind pushes a sail backward against the mast, stopping or reversing the ship suddenly.) Batten down the hatches — Prepare for trouble or a difficult situation. (Securing a ship's hatches with battens before a storm to prevent water from entering.) Loose cannon — An unpredictable or dangerous person who might cause harm. (A cannon that breaks free on a ship's deck during rough seas and rolls around uncontrollably.) Between the devil and the deep blue sea — Facing two equally bad choices. ("The devil" was a seam between hull planks near the waterline; a sailor working there risked falling into the sea or injury.) All at sea — Confused, disoriented, or not knowing what to do. (A ship out of sight of land with no navigation points, leaving the crew lost.) Know the ropes (or learn/show the ropes) — Understand how something works / teach someone the basics. (Sailors had to master the complex system of ropes controlling the sails.) Take the wind out of someone's sails — Discourage or deflate someone by undermining their confidence or plans. (A ship maneuvering to block another's wind, causing it to slow or stop.) The cut of one's jib — A person's appearance or character (as in "I like the cut of his jib"). (The shape of a ship's forward sail, or "jib," allowed sailors to identify a vessel's origin or type from afar.) Pipe down — Be quiet or stop talking. (The boatswain's pipe whistle signal to end the day's activities and send sailors below deck to rest.) Down in the doldrums — Feeling depressed or low-spirited. (The Doldrums are a windless equatorial region where sailing ships could be stuck for weeks, leaving crews miserable.) Any port in a storm — Accept any available solution in a desperate situation. (In bad weather, a ship would head for the nearest safe harbor, no matter how undesirable.) The Royal Navy at the battle of Trafalgar.

Animal welfare might be seen by some as a secondary issue. Some may treat animals as morally insignificant, beings for whom no bell ever tolls and to whom we owe no direct responsibilities. But no moral principle can excuse ignoring the basic obligations of kindness we owe them, obligations that set clear limits on our behaviour and that are far too often disregarded today.

This philosophy of “travel over children” is extremely ironic, it claims to be a richer better way of life, but there is nothing more ordinary and basic than taking what others have build and do nothing but consume it, produce nothing. What is genuinely difficult and meaningful, is creating and making something that outlasts you, and we know this is true because millions of people aren’t traveling to see you, and your personal achievements and your personal life focused on nothing but self, they are traveling to see the culture and traditions built and passed down by generations who did the grueling work you now refuse to do. Your grandmother who never left her village, who raised her children and tended her land and kept alive the recipes, the songs and the faith, she built something, she had an impact far greater than your travels, or what your self obsessed life style could ever dream of producing.
