I broke up with my girlfriend because she said she couldn’t go months without s*x while my new job would keep us apart for a while. Right now I earn about ₦250,000 a month, but I recently got an opportunity that would pay ₦640,000 monthly The only catch is that the job is in another state, far from Lagos where we both live. I would likely be away for about six months at a time before I could come back to visit. My girlfriend wasn’t happy about it. She said she didn’t want me gone that long because she would get lonely. I tried explaining that this job could change my life. If I saved properly, I could clear my debts, start building a house, and set us up for a better future. I told her we could still visit each other whenever possible. She said she didn’t care about any of that. Then she said something that completely changed how I saw the relationship. She told me that if I was gone for months… she might “need company.” At first I thought she meant friends or family. I even said she already had people around her. But she made it clear that wasn’t what she meant. She told me she’s big on intimacy and physical touch, and that me moving away would take all of that away from her. Then she added that she couldn’t go months without s*x. I told her I understood how she felt, but if she already believed she couldn’t stay months without intimacy while I was away, then the relationship probably wouldn’t survive the distance anyway. So I ended it right there. Now she’s calling and texting constantly, saying I misunderstood and that she would never cheat. But honestly, I don’t think I can trust her anymore. I’m still taking the job, but after what she said, I know I wouldn’t have peace of mind while I'm away. Would you stay with someone who said that to you?

A very close friend came to visit me yesterday. He's been dating this beautiful lady for 9 months and has finally decided to propose this weekend. He wanted me there as his morale booster. When he showed me her picture. I froze. I operated on this lady a year ago for ectopic pregnancy. She lost one fallopian tube during surgery. The other tube was completely blocked from chronic pelvic infection. This means she cannot conceive naturally. Ever. And my guy is not financially ready for IVF wahala. Not even close. My face changed instantly. He noticed, but I played it off. I've been restless ever since he left. Now I'm stuck between two unfavourable options Should I breach patient's confidentiality and tell my friend the truth? This would save him from a marriage that could crash on the rocks of infertility and financial strain. But at the risk of my career, my license, and the lady's right to privacy. Or should I keep quiet and let him marry her. But it would break my heart to watch him discover the truth months or years later, after heartbreak, blame, and possibly divorce. Knowing I could have stopped it. What would you do if you were in my shoes? I need answers fast. Weekend is just 2 days away.

Well, she really shouldn’t still be holding on to the anger at this point. The truth is, situations like this didn’t just start from nowhere. A lot of stories and experiences out there have made many men more cautious about issues of paternity. It’s unfortunate, but that reality has affected the level of trust in relationships today. That said, her feelings are completely understandable. Being asked for a DNA test before marriage, especially when everything is already set and both families are involved, can feel deeply insulting. Anyone in her position would feel hurt and embarrassed. So yes, her anger is justified. However, walking away from the marriage entirely may not be the wisest decision, especially considering that she is pregnant and the man is now remorseful. Sometimes people make decisions out of fear or insecurity, not necessarily because they truly believe the worst about their partner. At most, she could allow him to make it up to her a little. Small “princess treatment” as an apology, reassurance, and real effort to rebuild the trust he damaged. But completely cancelling the wedding after the result has proven her right might be taking it a bit too far. If he is genuinely sorry and willing to make things right, forgiveness and moving forward together might be the better path. Relationships will always face moments where trust is tested. What matters most is how both people choose to repair things and grow from it.

Went to Wuse market to get some materials, I was waiting for for my ride and a man pulled up in my front with GLS 450 (tinted) He rolled down and was like “Hello, what’s a pretty girl like you doing under this hot sun”, told him I was going home. He offered to drop me,I declined and told him my ride is few minutes away. He proceeded to ask me my name and phone number- I told him my name but refused to give him my line. My ride came, he offered to pay and I declined again. This man followed me from Wuse to Gwarinpa. I texted my sister immediately and had to drop at a mall so he doesn’t follow me home. Followed another route and went home. After about an hour a number called me and it was him, asked him how he got my line he said he had to bribe the driver to give him my number. I ended the call. Next thing I got a credit alert of #500,000 in my OPay and he texted me on WhatsApp that he sent the money to show me how serious he is. I told him to send his account so I can send the money back that I’m not interested, he refused. I had to block him immediately cos he’s older and definitely a married man.
