@EssGeeDyfrdwy1 Most Scottish Lodges will close in the degree of the ceremony. Quite common therefore to hear the ritual associated with each. Interestingly Lodge Canongate Kilwinning No. 2 in Edinburgh never closes, they merely adjourn each meeting and resume at the subsequent.

Do you always fully close in the higher degrees or close on the gavel only? For me there is something special about closing fully in the 3rd but i would be interested in your opinion? #masonicmuse

❓ WHAT DO FREEMASONS DO? | Freemasonry can be a complex pursuit. However fundamentally its members have an opportunity to better themselves through moral education and serving their community and fellow creatures.

🧐 MASONIC TEACHING | As Freemasons, we regularly read and perform ritual at our meetings for moral meaning. Key to this actually having purpose is for us to internalise what is being said rather than simply reciting it without application

St David (University Lodge) No. 36 hold an Annual Scott Night to celebrate Sir Walter Scott who was initiated in the lodge. A wreath is placed at his monument on Princes Street, and a dinner held afterwards. The event this year will be held on Thursday 5 March. Tickets are £20.
