My bank sent me a spending breakdown for 2025.
I was not prepared.
$15,000 on shisha.
$45,000 on food and drink.
$70,000 on rent across Dubai, Poland, and wherever else I ended up.
$50,000 on car logistics — shipping my car between the middle east and europe.
$50,000+ on watches and clothes.
$250,000 total. As a freelancer.
Now before you call me an idiot, I know. I was there. These expenses are painful to look at.
(Doesn't include any business expenses btw)
But here's the thing nobody tells you about freelancing:
The ceiling isn't where most people think it is.
Everyone treats it like a $5k/month job with no upside. They hop to agencies, SMMA, AI businesses and anything that sounds sexier.
Meanwhile I've been quietly doing the same thing for 8 years. Web design. Retainer clients. Referrals only. No ads. No agency. No team for a lot of it.
Just knowing how to position myself, maximize LTV, and make clients never want to leave.
The money's always been there in boring services. Most people just don't stay long enough to find it.
