This week, 137 years of combined service walked out the doors of the Edmond Police Department for the final time. Sergeant Weathers helped train generations of Edmond officers through our academy and year-round in-service training. Detective Sergeant Randall became one of our department’s leading experts in white-collar crime and helped establish our lasting involvement in the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. Detective Sergeant Newsom dedicated his career as a narcotics detective, helping keep illegal drugs off our streets. Deputy Chief Dorsey spent decades leading with integrity, mentoring officers, and guiding our department through growth and change. While their careers have come to an end, their impact on this department will continue for generations. Congratulations on your well-earned retirement, and thank you for your service.

The Edmond Police Department is requesting your help locating Farrie “Frankie” Lee Colligan. At approximately 12pm, Farrie left for the grocery store and has not returned. Farrie is 79 years old and has numerous medical conditions, including memory issues. Farrie was last seen wearing a blue dress and may possibly be driving a gray Kia Soul with Arizona Tag #YCA382. We’re looking for the driver of this white Honda Odyssey minivan, which was involved in a hit-and-run crash today on 2nd Street just east of Coltrane. The minivan crossed left of the double yellow line and center median, struck a vehicle turning into Central Bank, then continued westbound through the Coltrane intersection without stopping. On May 1, 2025, Officer Christopher Clark arrived to find Officer Caleb Hodam and a citizen struggling with a suspect who had just stabbed Officer Hodam. Recognizing the immediate threat, Officer Clark deployed his Taser, allowing officers to safely take the suspect into custody. Throughout the incident and its aftermath, Lieutenant Michael Kennemer provided leadership and oversight that helped ensure an effective response while supporting the officers involved during an extraordinarily difficult event. We proudly recognize Officer Christopher Clark and Lieutenant Michael Kennemer with the Meritorious Award for their professionalism, decisive actions, and dedication to the Edmond Police Department. Congratulations, and thank you both for your outstanding service.

When Officer Caleb Hodam was critically injured on May 1, 2025, Sergeant Andrew Deyager, Sergeant Jonathan Vincent, and Officer Joshua Lindsey immediately sprang into action to provide lifesaving care. Sergeant Deyager treated Officer Hodam's stab wound with combat gauze, Sergeant Vincent applied a chest seal, and Officer Lindsey helped secure the dressing after responding from an off-duty security job. Together, they provided critical care until paramedics arrived. Their quick actions and teamwork played a vital role in saving a fellow officer's life. We proudly recognize Sergeant Andrew Deyager, Sergeant Jonathan Vincent, and Officer Joshua Lindsey with the Lifesaving Award. Congratulations, and thank you for your exceptional service.
