In Ottawa this week, #ECW's Director @MaysaJalbout met with Canada's Secretary of State for International Development, The Hon. Randeep S. Sarai, to advance our shared commitment to #EiE. #Canada has been a steadfast partner in #ECW's mission – investing $126.5M+ since the Fund’s inception & helping reach millions of children and youth whose education has been disrupted by crises. As we look ahead to the 2027–2030 period, our continued collaboration is key. Together, we're building the case for bold, sustained investment for girls and boys left furthest behind. Last week at the #GlobalEducationForum – hosted by The Rt. Hon. @GordonBrown – #ECW Director @MaysaJalbout joined global leaders to highlight the urgent need to protect education in times of crisis. Even when classrooms become shelters, learning does not stop. Children are finding ways to learn & have not given up on their future. Even in the most difficult circumstances, education helps keep hope alive. By working together, we can scale up predictable funding to ensure children in crises can access safe, inclusive #QualityEducation. Children are ready to learn. We must be ready to deliver.

📍In Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh – home to the largest refugee camp in the world – over 1M Rohingya refugees continue to face the daily realities of displacement. #ECW, together with partners – @UNICEFBD, @SCIBangladesh, @PlanBangladesh, @BRACworld & other local orgs – is working to ensure children and adolescents can access safe, inclusive #QualityEducation. As we advance on our new #CORE investment modality, we are on the ground – listening to communities, understanding needs and strengthening the response. But needs continue to grow. Sustained funding is critical to deliver on ECW’s 2027–2030 Strategic Plan – and to ensure children affected by crisis, in 🇧🇩 & beyond, can learn & thrive.
