At Educate!’s livelihood bootcamps, Youth Trainers like Abel create space for youth unable to access school to build skills & agency to start businesses. With his guidance, Nangobi gained hands-on skills in marketing, budgeting & customer service. She now runs a small food stall.

Through Educate!’s Youth Entrepreneurship Training in Uganda, prospective mentors built leadership & entrepreneurship skills to launch businesses, developed the growth mindset to pursue employment/further study, & gained the practical facilitation skills to mentor fellow youth.

Mentored by Mathilda, an Educate! trainer, Sharon learned to save & manage profits. Over time, she saved 13,000 KES (USD $85) from her small shop. By reinvesting her savings, Sharon grew her stock—adding household items & clothes. This attracted more customers & increased sales.

This training is strengthening their ability to: • Oversee implementation of competency-based learning • Support the integration of digital tools in line with national standards • Monitor the delivery of practical, project-based learning aligned with national assessments

Ward Education Officers play a critical role in strengthening teaching and learning. Through regular school visits, they monitor implementation of national education policies and provide guidance to Head Teachers and subject teachers.

In Tanzania, educators are advancing the revised Business Studies syllabus to help students build practical skills for employment and entrepreneurship — as steps toward becoming job creators through hands-on learning and real-world experience.
