I am big on kagan strategies to foster community in the classroom. My favorite strategy is sharing the pencil, students complete a problem but can only write one word or # then have to give it to their partner & so forth. Discussion prompts to foster conversation. #engagechat

A5: Teachers can collaborate with parents by having open communication and holding conferences periodically to work together for what the student needs #engagechat

A4: Allowing students to work in small groups and giving them the opportunities to be "leaders" will help students with collaboration. #engagechat

A3: Barriers that hinder collaboration are not having buy-in from everyone and team members not willing to work together. Also, not having support from admin can hinder the collaboration process. #engagechat

A2: When everyone is working together for what is best for students, the school climate will be positive and all involved parties will do what is best for the school. #engagechat

@GreenRunESart @DavidGeurin It is the same for my school & we share him with other schools. He is pretty quick to fix an issue when the tech work order is submitted. He will try to solve issues remotely, if possible, but if it can’t be, he will get there as quickly as possible. #regenttech4admin

@EducatorAndreaD @DavidGeurin Many buildings only have one person for tech issues. Ours is pretty good at handling issues quickly, but there are times when he is absent! #regenttech4admin

@DavidGeurin A4: I am becoming more comfortable with Twitter. I’ve had an account for a while but have not utilized it as much as I have now. I am more apt to use technology now because of this class. #regenttech4admin

@GreenRunESart @DavidGeurin Most times, if I have an issue with technology & our tech support isn’t available, I go to my students to help me. They are so tech savvy! #regenttech4admin

@EducatorAndreaD @DavidGeurin Students also enjoy teaching us. There have been times when I was not completely comfortable using a program, etc., but a student jumped in and gave me a quick tip. Today's students are tech-savvy! #regenttech4admin
