Chicanos are Americans adopting Mexican culture because Americans themselves don’t consider chicanos as americans. So, from a cultural approach, Chicanos are neither from Mexico nor from America. Chicanos visiting Mexico often don’t like to speak Spanish, because they consider themselves as Americans, that’s why many Mexicans don’t like chicanos, they have an identity problem deeply rooted in their psyche.
