Nano features, macro impact: Just wrapped up a talk at L'Oréal Aulnay-sous-Bois. Our High-Speed #Dermal Atomic Force Microscope (HS-D #AFM) is pushing boundaries. Grateful for the engaged top researchers at @LOreal. What's next? The journey from lab to vanity table continues..

@EdwinHwu @Loretta Really fascinating work. The potential for skin nanotexture biometrics to improve remote healthcare and early assessment could be a huge step forward for accessible care and monitoring 🔬

A 19 year old Chinese student controls an AI security system from his bed through Telegram. Types one message on his phone, the device across the room wakes up, starts watching and reports back to him like an employee. While American companies charge $100 for a Ring camera plus $4 a month for cloud, this kid spent $10 once and built something smarter. He sent a Telegram message: open maixcam and notify me if a person detected. One second later his phone buzzed back. Green checkmark. Status: Active. Monitoring: Person detection enabled. Notifications: Telegram ready. His roommate laughed. Said a $10 device can't do real security. Then someone walked past the door. The phone buzzed instantly. Person detected. Class: person. Confidence: 92.00%. Position: (120, 80). Size: 100x150. Not a blurry photo 45 seconds later like Amazon cameras. Exact data in under 1 second. What it saw, how sure it is, where the person is standing, how big they are. All through a Telegram message. He built the whole thing with Claude Code in one weekend. The AI runs directly on the device, no cloud, no subscription, no internet needed after setup. 10MB of memory. Boots in 1 second. Camera sees, chip thinks, Telegram delivers. Posted a 17 second demo. GitHub exploded. 7,400 stars in 2 days. But person detection was just the demo. A developer in Tokyo forked it and pointed it at his front door. Telegram alert with a photo every time a delivery arrives. A mom in Seoul pointed it at her baby's crib. Gets a message when the baby stands up. A business owner in Shenzhen bought 6 for $60 total, mounted them around his warehouse and replaced a $200 a month security service. His entire security system is now a Telegram group chat with 6 AI cameras. Someone commented under the GitHub repo: I'm a senior engineer at a home security company. We have a team of 8 working on person detection. This 19 year old did it alone with Claude Code on a $10 device and it works better than our product. The student isn't a machine learning engineer. He's a second year CS student who wanted to know when his roommate eats his snacks. Claude Code wrote the detection model, the Telegram bot, the alert system and the boot sequence. He just described what he wanted. The roommate who laughed now has one pointed at his own shelf. Same device, same code, same Telegram bot. He stops losing snacks. The student stops losing sleep. Everyone is paying $100 for smart cameras with $4 monthly subscriptions. China is building the same thing for $10 with a Telegram chat and Claude Code. 7,400 stars. One weekend. One student who asked Claude Code to watch his door and accidentally built something better than Ring.

A Japanese developer couldn't stop working at 3am. His girlfriend told him to take breaks. He ignored her. His doctor told him to take breaks. He ignored him too. So he asked Claude Code to build something he couldn't ignore. An app that puts a fat orange cat on your screen every 25 minutes. The cat sits on top of all your windows. You can't click through it. You can't minimize it. You can't close it. It just sits there, staring at you, blocking your code, until the 5 minute break timer runs out. The cat gets fatter every hour you work without stopping. By hour 3 it takes up half the screen. By hour 5 you can barely see your code behind it. The only way to shrink the cat is to actually take the break. He posted a 17 second demo. The cat appears at 5:00 on the timer, sits directly on top of his Twitter feed, and slowly stretches out across the screen as the seconds tick down to 4:47. Getting comfortable. Not moving. Dev Twitter went crazy. 500K views in two days. Everyone wanted the app. Not because they care about health. Because the cat is funny and they want to see how fat it gets. He built it with Claude Code in one evening. The cat animations, the break timer, the window overlay that can't be closed, the weight gain system. One prompt chain. One session. Claude even picked the cat's personality: annoyed, entitled and completely unbothered by your deadlines. The funniest part is the reviews. One developer said: I've tried 30 productivity apps. This is the only one that works because I feel guilty closing a cat. Another said: the cat judged me at 4am and I actually went to bed. A third one said: I tried to code around the cat and realized that's the problem. Companies started requesting a team version. A startup in Tokyo now runs it on all employee machines. When someone works past 9pm the cat appears on every screen in the office simultaneously. A fat orange cat staring at an entire engineering team until they go home. He charges $4 a month for the app. 11,000 subscribers in the first month. $44,000. From a fat cat that sits on your screen and does nothing. His girlfriend asked what the app does. He showed her. She watched the cat appear, stretch out, and block the entire screen. She said: that's exactly what I've been trying to tell you for two years. You just needed to hear it from a cat. Claude Code built an app in one evening that does what his girlfriend, his doctor and 30 productivity tools couldn't. Make him stop working. The cat doesn't care about your deadlines, your sprint, your launch date or your boss. It just sits there. Getting fatter. Waiting for you to take a break. 11,000 people are now paying $4 a month to be judged by a cartoon cat. And it's working better than every wellness app on the market.

Microsoft is building OpenClaw into M365 Copilot, and it's a bigger deal than it sounds. OpenClaw is the fastest-growing open-source AI agent framework: 354K GitHub stars, 70K forks, 44K skills listed. Now Microsoft has a dedicated team (led by the former head of Word) building always-on agents that work across your M365 apps end-to-end proactively, not just when you ask. The vision: AI that doesn't wait for a prompt. It just gets the work done. Why it matters: Copilot shifts from assistant to autonomous worker Multi-model (OpenAI + Anthropic) means best-in-class for every task If they solve the security problem, this will change enterprise productivity permanently The open-source agent wave is colliding with the enterprise stack. Microsoft wants to be where they meet.

@pirateblakbird Have you considered PSLV and PHYS? You can still buy real physical silver with no retail premium through PSLV (silver) and PHYS (gold): 100% allocated at the Royal Canadian Mint, redeemable for bars, trades like ETFs, zero counterparty risk.

That’s a common concern with many ETFs, but PSLV & PHYS are structured differently. They are closed-end trusts with 100% allocated, unencumbered physical metal — no lending or leasing is permitted under the trust agreement. The Royal Canadian Mint holds segregated bars, and monthly serial-number lists + independent audits confirm nothing is lent out. Shorting happens on the exchange via borrowing shares (like any stock), but the underlying bullion remains untouched and fully owned by unitholders.

To be clear, #gold and #silver will be revalued before western plebs buy en-masse, not after. The revaluation is inevitable, and it will not be due to western retail buying. New stackers need to act now to front run it. x.com/twitter/status…

Time is running out for new #silver stackers. Newbies need to dive-in now. If they think they can start stacking very gradually over 10 years, they will end up with very little. x.com/Willbpeace/sta…

Silver just exploded +7.7% while gold climbed +2.2% - this is exactly the kind of volatility that separates the stackers from the spectators. When metals move like this, you're either positioned or you're watching from the sidelines. #Gold #Silver #PreciousMetals
