SpaceX has almost finished writing V1.0 of an in-house AI training stack in C that exact-maps to 220k GB300s with 800G NICs, making heavy use of pipeline parallelism and getting as close to bare metal as possible. The potential speed improvement vs JAX for large training runs is over an order of magnitude.

I’m a big fan of electric vehicles, and there’s no doubt they’re the future. In my initial post, I wrote that the design might become more appealing over time (I’m giving it a few months). For now, I’ve just been looking at it, but my rating remains barely passing. Maybe in a month it’ll go up to an 8.

@EffettoTesla Its a new bold Ferrari brand. The future is EV. Take more looks at it. It grows on you. I at first had the same reaction but the dynamic purity of the design hit me. These artists know what their doing.

As an Italian, I apologize to the entire world for this lapse in taste. The design of the Ferrari Luce is not a masterpiece — that much is obvious. It might grow on us and become more intriguing in a few months, but right now it feels like a step backwards (perhaps intentional).

I’m familiar with that phrase, and I immediately thought of it as a way to justify this design, of course. Since there’s more space available, it makes sense to take advantage of it. The main problem is that this design doesn’t align with the Ferrari brand. It might work on any other car, but not on a Ferrari. They could have done much better. That’s just my personal opinion as a fan.

@EffettoTesla Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. EV design cannot ever be like ICE designs. Many past Ferrari ICE designs look lumpy and gaudy. Ever here of the phrase "form follows function" - you have now.

Yes, they should be available for purchase. Let’s see if the initial tests reveal anything interesting. The price difference compared to the Model S Plaid isn’t just about performance; it’s also about the meticulous attention to detail in the interior (which, I must say, I like more than the exterior) and the materials. Everything here is top-of-the-line.

@ricosua12577422 The design of the Ferrari Luce isn't world-class. Ferrari has produced countless wonderful cars, among the most beautiful in the world (and will continue to do so in the future). This Luce is bold in style, but not beautiful.

@niccruzpatane Le due auto non sono neanche lontanamente paragonabili. Il design della Jaguar è semplicemente osceno ed inguardabile, quello della Ferrari Luce è bruttino ma coraggioso.
