We are pursuing criminal complaints and civil lawsuits against perpetrators without settlement or leniency. Several individuals have already been investigated and convicted under laws, including the Information and Communications Network Act and the Sexual Violence Punishment Act, receiving fines and additional legal penalties. We are also taking legal action against overseas perpetrators through international court procedures and discovery systems. In particular, a U.S. court rejected claims that such actions were protected by “freedom of expression” and ordered the disclosure of user information. Stalking and serious invasions of artists’ privacy are also being addressed with restraining orders, criminal complaints, and civil damage claims, including against individuals residing overseas. Please note that deleting posts, changing usernames, or deactivating accounts will not prevent evidence already collected from being submitted to investigative authorities and courts.
