@NealGardner_ For the past two years, the only real project has been Flick’s machine and we should elevate its pieces as much as possible to turn it into a treble machine next season. It would have looked far more achievable if the ‘engineer’ Deco and CEO Laporta weren’t in charge.

The one thing I’m sure of about our project is this: as long as Flick is in charge, everything we do - from tactical nuances to transfers - will be with the ultimate goal of finding ways to score more goals. The way I see it, goals are the essence of this entire project.

There’s a need for a profile that doesn’t demand the ball much but produces goals and assists when he gets it someone who can either replace Raphinha or compete with him. If the finances were in better shape, Bradley Barcola would have been a perfect fit, especially in the event of a potential move to Saudi Arabia for Raphinha. Given the current financial constraints, Igor Paixão is one of the names who could stay behind Raphinha and contribute when needed. An upgrade is definitely required.

How many games have Lamine and Raphinha actually started *together* this season? Feel like they’ve almost exclusively played without each other lol. When one gets fit, the other gets injured.

Harry Kane in terms of passing, playmaking, and link-up, he’s probably the best I’ve seen since Leo. (That said, if we can’t get Álvarez, signing him would be just as impossible.) Well, given the current financial situation, it looks like Gerard Moreno might be the one they’ll end up signing (which could actually be a good fit 😉).

Vitinha’s growth has defied all sense. I recall watching PSG when Messi was there, and he was one of the most frustrating footballers in that side. So no, doesn’t surprise me at all that he was sitting the bench at Wolves. Just a story of astonishing growth.

@NealGardner_ Gavi isn’t just about passion he elevates the team technically and with his intensity, and can raise the tempo of the game in key moments. If not for two consecutive knee injuries, he’d be a starter, and Barça’s midfield wouldn’t be getting exposed so easily in transitions.

Gavi is a managers dream in every day possible. Incredible, incredible personality to have around the squad.
