@_Jack1875 @GrahamSpiers I reckon £10m needs to be the minimum benchmark for our best players - ultimately these guys are assets & 2.5 years left. He’d be worth the same in 1 year so why lose a top quality player too early? In terms of performance he gets refereed to a different standard - it’s criminal

@ElGubbz @GrahamSpiers Very controversial, how much more do you believe we could have got for him? Bear in mind his inconsistency this season since Europe I think we’d be very limited with how much more we could have got.

Do Hearts do a breakdown of the football club and the hotel in any of the numbers they share with the ITK crowd? Geeky football obsessed accountants like me like to like for like comparisons to benchmark off field performance and 24/7 windowless hotels skew those numbers :-(

🚨 Hearts financial accounts released 🚨 💷 Record turnover of £24.4m ❌ £400k net operating loss 🤝 £1.3m player sales 📈 Staff costs rise to more than £19m 🏟️ Gate receipts increase by 12% 🔗 onlrl.co/9j4i0d

If you love the beautiful game, you'll appreciate the emotions these Hibs fans are going through in 2016. Their club had lost 10 finals over 114 years before finally winning the cup and ending one of football's longest hoodoos.

@sked21 New class or shares makes this look like a good deal. Losing 29% of the club for essentially 6 months of revenue suggests the opposite however a £34m valuation of HMFC assets could be a masterclass given they only valued themselves at £20m last year.

One of the key takeaways from the Foundation of Hearts consultation event on Tony Bloom’s proposal. Should it go through, the shareholding would be: FOH - 53.6% Tony Bloom - 29% Bidco - 12.4% Fan shareholders - 5% Crucially, Bloom’s 29% is a new class of non-voting shares.

@jackmoffat66 It won’t mate But you can’t look at that squad of players and have confidence it’s going to compete. We’ve been brutal at the back, we’ve got a huge hole in midfield and lacked any form of spine since Covid. No leadership on the field and a pit of rookies off it

Anyone know the current ownership model of Hearts? Understand FoH owns 75.1% atm with the rest made up my individuals. Just looking to clarify the flow of cash from Bloom to what the fans care about - the club. Statement isn’t clear but suggests all to club - doubtful
Heart of Midlothian FC@JamTarts

We can confirm that Tony Bloom has made a proposal to invest capital of £9.86m into Heart of Midlothian for which he shall receive a 29% stake in the club via non-voting shares. A consultation period with our majority shareholders – @The_FOH – will now begin. ℹ️ ⬇️

@TEnglishSport Too many in the game are too focussed on the present with no appetite for what’s best for the league/fans long term You & colleagues are our only platform to hold those in power to account - you really could play a pivotal role in fixing our game. Don’t waste that responsibility

@ElGubbz Voting structure is a massive barrier to change. Different clubs want/don’t want different things. Doncaster is the punchbag but the clubs can’t agree on what day of the week it is

What was the point of all of this? Who was driving it and why? This all started with ‘10-team Premiership back up for discussion’ despite there virtually no support for a 10-team Premiership. All very odd. bbc.co.uk/sport/football…

@TEnglishSport The only real carrot the other 10 clubs can pitch to the OF is agreement to shuffle fixtures to allow max prep time ahead of crucial European ties. That for a restructure and change to the 2 club veto might be sexy enough for them to agree to with the prospect of extra euro cash

@TEnglishSport In theory aye. But change is almost impossible with the current voting system in place that requires 11 of 12 Prem clubs approving. Change needs to make sense for all and I’m not sure the SPFL has the right people with the right skills to find and pitch the solution.

@ElGubbz @TEnglishSport One change : winner of bottom split group one vs winner of bottom split group 2 play in a playoff and the winner of that does a playoff vs 5th/6th for Europe

5 years since I pulled this together but it’s still the most exciting option around. With the extra euro spot you could make it even more exciting offering euro play off spots for the teams that top the 2 groups in the bottom 8. Play Offs are the way forward 📺
