I was told a few weeks ago that Mark Pope truly understood the importance of next season.
It’s obvious Kentucky over payed for some players last year.
They are clearly not gonna do that this year on role players.
Mark Pope just proved that.

@KySportsRadio @writerjmarie I totally agree with you Matt. I think anyone that has been a UK fan for 25-30 years are used to Kentucky dominating the SEC every year with a deep run in March. It is becoming seriously frustrating.

UK does have some fans that act a fool. I am often on the receiving end of it. It sucks to get and I am sure even more so if you are a young player
But Kentucky also has mostly the best fans in the world who shower players with love

😔this doesn’t make me happy. Loved the kid. He didn’t get a chance to shine and with a good back up point guard I think he would have for that this year. Ill reserve my doubts until I see what happens with the portal but so far I’m not having warm fuzzies about next year

@Aaron_Torres I agree. Jaland was a disappointment, not because he wasn't good, but because he got hurt so early in the season. JQ was a major disappointment!

I never tell fans how to feel, but if youre a Kentucky fan, wish him well and move onto the next guy.
Shame we never got to see him at full strength, but I dont believe he was going to be your answer at PG next year either.
Will be plenty of other options as the portal unfolds
