Very open TJ Smith this year. Joliestar coming off a G1 Canterbury Stakes win at 1300m is a massive tick for me. She’s 2-for-2 this prep, and her Expressway win over Caballus - who then brained them in the Newmarket - is the strongest form line for this race. Briasa is a 2nd up specialist and can definitely win from barrier 8. Last year: 4th in the Galaxy (unlucky) → won the TJ Smith 2nd-up. This year: 4th in the Galaxy (beaten < 1L) → heading to the TJ 2nd-up. Should absolutely be peaking for this. Briasa's has got the ability to absorb a sub-34s opening 600m and still find a kick in the straight. Current price is 100% overs. Tentyris is going to need a miracle from barrier 1. For a horse that's typically slow to begin, this is a major tactical hurdle. Major risk of being buried on the fence while the likes of Joliestar and Briasa are winding up at the right time. Zahra will need everything to go right.
