The rapid modernization killed the world tone of Avatar

i think calling Korra's technological development "rapid" is pretty nuts when ATLA had all of this going on

Random Avatar Korra fact: Did you know Korra was the only Avatar to ever fight a man who could kill a spirit? Normally spirits cannot be killed they can only be trapped. Yet Unalaq mastered dark water bending to the point where he destroyed Raava herself He ended the entire Avatar cycle in one move and Korra still got up and defeated him after all of that. Tell me again why she is not the greatest Avatar???

Remember how fire bending origin was you facing the dragons, they judge you for who you are, and decide whether to teach you or not? Bryke decided that such a mythical and tedious process, which would’ve taken thousands of years to spread, was too good, and reduced it to magic

Imagine Dio vs Jotaro with THIS pacing

For the love of- The turts gave them the ability to bend, but not how to control it. All of the early "benders" suck ass with their bending because they have no training. You still have to study the dragons/bisons/moon/badger moles to learn how to really bend.
