I really appreciate your concern in warning me, Elbandi. And I might have been too hasty in posting that graphic since it might also be affected by my confirmation bias after seeing all the evidence (Mimi's and numerous videos and accounts of police being involved for offensive social media posts) in England and other European countries, especially since it seems like it's a widely shared graphic online as well. But I'll keep looking into the accuracy of these claims myself. I'm glad that we at least agree that no one should be ever arrested just for art, since Canada seems to be on its way to implementing the same kinds of laws. @ClothovMelodiam @combatmedic @thejollyflag you have to do more than tell someone to off themselves and their family on twitter to get into trouble because of hate speech in germany and again, those 10K above are CASES not arrests, cases can be dropped too, i bet not even half of those cases even lead to any charge

My problem is that the definition for these things is extremely broad especially nowadays when everything feels like we need to walk on eggshells around people. It's not just about anime or hentai, it's about free speech and the value of privacy and anonymity for me. Should the people calling me names and telling me to face the wall be arrested and doxxed? I personally don't think so and I'd rather just let others see how vile their ideology is rather than have the government encroach on their privacy to arrest them for my own good. Because I know that when that starts happening to them, it can just as easily happen to me too.

@ClothovMelodiam @combatmedic @thejollyflag Hatespeech is a real crime in Germany and thats a good thing and what they mean with the anonymity is that you are not gettign away from that crime because you wrote it under a username or anonymous this is in no shape similar to having people ouright arrested for hentai or less

I'm still doing my own research into this kind of thing and I get the concern. If it does come out that this information is completely false then I'll be the first to disavow it. I saw this website that seems to be for the German police as well and it seems like they're arresting for a lot more than just death threats and it includes "hate posting" as well.
