Toledo Head Coach Mike Jacobs wasted no time on the job, he was able to sign the BEST RECRUITING CLASS EVER in Program History in 2026 by AVG Recruit Ranking. The 84.06 AVG is slightly better than the 2022 class of 84.0 and 0. 34 points better than the 2024 class. The class is led by 3 star Safety Sharard Vaughn III who's an early enrollee with an opportunity to make an impact this fall. 3 star WR Seth Elchert is 6'3 with solid hands and he should be a name to remember down the road in the #MAC. An under the radar steal of this class for Toledo is 3 star OT Jake Palucki. This class is definitely a very good start for Coach Jacobs.

Finally — some good news amid the chaos. The area’s best wide receiver is staying true to the midnight blue. Elchert put up 58 receptions, 1,016 yards, and 18 touchdowns this season, and broke the OHSAA record for consecutive games with a catch. 🚀
