Eldiron Official Ruleset Characters, items, weapons, armor, cooldowns, progression, visuals, and starter loadouts are moving toward one shared source of truth, so projects need less scattered configuration while still allowing overrides. Planned for v0.91 around mid June.

@crustland Thanks, large maps are no problem as maps are chunk based, i.e. they stream in / out of memory, both in 2D and 3D.

@EldironRPG editable pixel art avatars with 4-direction rigging is a really useful feature for RPG creators. procedural props on top of that could save a ton of hand-placement time. rust for the engine is a bold choice — how's the performance for larger maps?

Sneak Peek #1: Arriving early–mid December. The new tree widget replaces sections and most of the tool system. Maximizing a dock opens a specialized editor—like the new tile editor with per-tile undo. Editing 2D/3D map tiles will be fast and fun.

Yes, arcade Space Invaders uses a bit array in vram (the onscreen pixels), while the port by Atari keeps the shield bit array in the 128-byte zero page ram. With only 128 bytes of ram, the Atari port is limited to only 3 shields, and only 8 bits wide instead of 22 wide in arcade. The Arcade version can also copy the onscreen damaged shield bit array to a player struct in 2-player mode.

Here is the Atari 2600 WIP of full arcade Space Invaders, featuring race-the-TIA techniques to draw 11 invaders per line and 4 full-size destructable shields using the two hardware sprites.
