Many of our new Reception pupils attended our 'Welcome Party'. Thanks to the ESA for organising such a lovely event. Everyone had a great time.

Nursery have had a lovely sports day followed by a very special treat on the bouncy castle and inflatable slide!

Years 3 & 4 have had an enthralling day with @SamSafaris1 as part of their Rainforest topic. Thank you so much for bringing such a fascinating array of rainforest creatures!

KS 1 have been designing some amazing postcards as part of their Seaside topic, travelling back in time to the Victorian era. Look @visitBlackpool

We have had a fabulous day wearing our colours and we have raised just over £250 in cash donations for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, thank you everyone. @YorkshireAirAmb

Nursery children made an amazing upside down pineapple cake this week as part of their sunshine and shadows topic. It looked fabulous! The children also made sunny sunshine collages.

Year 6 have enjoyed watching The Virtual Big Sing this afternoon #VBS2021. What a wonderful experience watching all the celebrities singing some of the songs they are going to perform for their families at the Leavers' Picnic!

Year 6 are busy with their Activity Week! Today is the giant obstacle course! It's lovely to see and hear the excitement and joy from the children!

Of course football fever has reached Eldwick PS! Reception have created their own mini pitch, Years 4, 5 & 6 have had their own tournaments too - the winning countries were Germany, England, Holland and France... !

Green zone are enjoying their DT project. They are designing and making Marionette Puppets and they will use these to perform their own puppet shows! They are busy working as engineers and are currently at the design stage. The drawings are all looking fabulous!

Nursery were very excited to release their butterflies. After watching the caterpillars grow and grow, then build a cocoon around themselves, they finally emerged as beautiful butterflies.

Our pre-loved uniform cupboard has filled up already and we have been making it available to families across school.

This week the children in Reception are learning about the Royal Family. They have been writing letters to the Queen ahead of Trooping the Colour this weekend. #eyfs #royal #questions #letters #queen #writing #earlyyears

Children in Reception have been making their own Supertato inspired by the story of the same name. They designed their own Supertato first & thought about the qualities of a superhero. We think they look fantastic! #eyfs #eldwick #design #inspired #supertato #ead #superhero

Years 5 & 6 have been busy making Anderson shelters as part of their WWII topic. We have learnt why and how they were built and constructed some out of clay. We are currently designing the insides now by carefully considering what should go inside.

Nursery have been learning about rainbows. The children made rainbows, created rainbow collages & Elmer pictures. They also looked at the colours of a rainbow in giant bubbles and danced along to rainbow colour songs.

Mental Health Awareness Week gives another opportunity to share some great resources including helpful advice, tips & support from Childline. As we adjust to lockdown easing & a new kind of normal it is reassuring to have this at your fingertips. childline.org.uk/info-advice/yo…
