We've only seen a very small sample of this new evolved system, but removing raid buffs just feels SE resorting to a lazy "solution" to the problem. Raiding is a team-based activity, it should reward proper team-based gameplay and decision making

The one big question I have is - the evolved system specifically mentions "emphasized individuality" and showed a DRG hotbar without Battle Litany. Are their claims about "evolved mode being very slightly stronger" based solely on personal damage balancing?

@schizowari Much of the information that exists in The Balance wouldn't be possible without ACT/FFlogs existence, regardless of how well tooltips explain things. And while some members are just passionate to teach others, many are driven by improving their logs/performance

@ElevationXIV kind of a backward argument since if stuff was explained well enough in-game, there'd be no need for resources like the balance still, people would optimize their gameplay regardless, and anyone advocating for removal of parsing should be put in on-patch p8sp1/top jail

You literally wouldn't have The Balance discord and much of the information provided there (let alone even deeper theorycraft work from Allagan Studies and what not) if ACT + FFlogs didn't exist + the drive players have to optimize their gameplay

This is too complex of a topic to attribute a simple "this is good or bad" answer. Parsing has created some negative effects within the community, but it's also directly contributed to the majority of theorycraft information that we have today

Players have been running bots to level their classes/characters for over 10 years at this point. The accessibility of Dalamud has made botting extremely prevalent in the community, whether it's Autoduty, GatherBuddy/Artisan, or any other assortment of tools that exist today
