I want to say this now. The minute we're crowned EPL champions. Manchester United are fvcked. The most usele$$ club in the whole of England. Their last EPL trophy came some donkey 14 years ago. So I understand why some of them don't want us to win the League, to the extent of twerking for their next door neighbour. So once we do just leave them to my

Det var dog pinligt så ubrugelige Atletico er. Så må man jo bare håbe på at Bayern eller PSG kan gøre det af med Arsenal i finalen.

@mufcytp How much more clear and obvious do you want it to be? The video clearly shows that in no way was it a penalty. I get that the ref was fooled because Eze dove like he’d been gunned down, but that is why we have VAR, when used correctly like in this situation.

Rivalry aside, Dutch referee Danny Makkelie and his compatriot VAR Dennis Higler did a poor job with Eze’s potential penalty against Atlético de Madrid. Yes, the contact was very slight, but once the referee gave it, there was no basis for VAR to intervene as it wasn’t a clear and obvious error. Perhaps VAR was compensating for the soft penalty awarded to Arsenal for the foul on Gyökeres. If that penalty hadn’t been given, there likely wouldn’t have been many complaints.

@HACKETTREF Just stop it already. Forget those still pictures, they prove absolutely nothing. Watch the video. This situation is why VAR is justified. Just accept when you are wrong. “A nailed on penalty kick” haha. Aren’t you supposed to be against cheating, as a former referee? He dived.

There is clear contact on Eze’s foot first and then the player is taken out. It looks like a late and careless challenge, which is why it was given in real time. From a VAR perspective, the key question is whether there was a clear and obvious error, and it is difficult to see that threshold being met. That is where the frustration comes in. You also feel that if the decision had gone the other way, it is unlikely it would have been overturned.

@Olaneeyee @tancredipalmeri I know that not only are you one of the morons, that the “most Gooner fans” line implied. You are also blind as a bat if you can’t see that it was in fact a clear and obvious mistake giving the pen. Hence why VAR intervened. Again contact does Not equal penalty.

@Elfving1980 @tancredipalmeri You can’t even spell of course properly, yet you have the little brass neck to call us names. ONKR. A pen all day…Ref saw the contact, blew his whistle & VAR had absolutely no reason to Re-ref the match. It was NEVER a clear and obvious error. But, what does weyrey Kasper know.

@tancredipalmeri You can say its not a pen that's fine, it probably wasn't. The issue is, he gave it and it's nowhere near clear and obvious enough to overturn. And ultimately, that is the only time var should intervene.

Amad skylder min. 2 mål i den halvleg. Kom så United. Hold hjem ❤️

🚨 Manchester United are monitoring Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Xavi Simons ahead of a potential summer move, with the club keeping close tabs on his situation. Simons joined Spurs from RB Leipzig for £51.8M and is under contract until 2030. However, after suffering an ACL injury and being stretchered off recently, reports suggest financial pressures could see him available for around £26 million. [@BBCSport] #mufc

Make no mistake, if Elliot Anderson chooses City over Man United, Arsenal, or Liverpool, then I and the entire football world will stop rating him. It would show a complete lack of class or standards, nothing like Declan Rice. Choosing an irrelevant financial cheat with 115 cases hanging over them, over clubs with real integrity and a clean history, clubs that built their success without blood money, would be a huge stain on his career as a footballer.
Fabrizio Romano@FabrizioRomano

🚨 Manchester City are prepared to make a very important financial proposal to Elliot Anderson, leading the race as revealed since March. Manchester United still attentive and keen if Man City deal won’t happen. Nothing advanced with Forest yet. 🎥 youtu.be/3Ig8tR8OcHs

@UtdTony1 You must be having a laugh! Who in this current City side starts ahead of Bruno in the 8 or 10? Not Cherki, not Foden, not Bernardo and definitely not Reijnders. Don’t even get me started on Arsenal. Bruno starts in any team in the world.

🚨🎙️ Jamie Carragher’s reaction to Paul Pogba saying that Bruno Fernandes would finish in the top three of the Ballon d’Or every season if he played for Manchester City honestly felt like a joke to me 😃. How can anyone seriously say that? If Bruno was in this City side, there’s a real chance he wouldn’t even be a guaranteed starter every week. He could easily find himself starting on the bench for some of the biggest games, or being used mainly in the cup competitions and the FA Cup. 🔴👀 And let’s be honest — can a player make the Ballon d’Or top three from the bench? I really don’t think that’s possible Who exactly is he starting ahead of in that City midfield and attack? This is a team where top-quality players like Rayan Cherki and Phil Foden can sometimes start on the bench, so the idea that Bruno walks straight into the team and suddenly becomes a yearly Ballon d’Or contender feels like a huge exaggeration. I rate Bruno highly, and there’s no doubt he’s a great player. But I don’t think he’s at the level being suggested here. To go even further, I’m not even fully convinced he starts in this current Arsenal F.C. side every single week — so comparing him to being an automatic star at City just feels over the top.

Arsenal play 2 PL games at home before City’s next PL fixture. Win against Newcastle and Fulham, and go 6 points clear to pile the pressure on City when they travel to Everton on a Monday night under the lights. Arteta’s father, David Moyes, to drive the dagger through the heart.
