I hope they listen to the smart people. Also his last sentence is apt; “a country without reserves is not sovereign”. You can’t impoverish people for all these years, preside over a subsistence economy, promote consumerism by importing more cars than you need every year, importing office and home furniture for our leaders and the rich, import their clothes, taking all of them to hospitals abroad, allow them steal and go buy buildings abroad and stash public funds in banks abroad, among others, and wake up after many decades to protect sovereignty we don’t even have.
