حاج حسین ۸ اسفند ۱۳۶۵ در عملیات کربلای 5 هنگام آتش دشمن، رساندن غذا به رزمندگان با مشکل مواجه شده بود؛ او پیگیر جدی این کار شد، که در همان حال خمپاره ای در نزدیکی اش منفجر شد و به شهادت رسید.
