If courts can freeze DAO funds... how decentralized is it really? 🤔 $ARB just got hit with a $71M $ETH freeze. Context: • Funds were already frozen by the Security Council after the KelpDAO exploit • U.S. court now blocks any movement • DAO treated as a legal entity • Members could face liability Second intervention on the same funds. Is Arbitrum really a DAO Or just a company with extra steps?

arbitrum dao got a "restraining order" from unrelated victims of north korea. the dao would be completely in the right to ignore it, given these funds have a clear provenance to kelp/layerzero hack victims, and belong to them. i urge aave or any other parties making proposals to skip any intermediate multisigs and move funds to the recovery contracts directly. this would allow to skip any possible meatspace pressure altogether.

Important Update If your funds are in an unaffected EVM vault, you can now withdraw normally. Do NOT interact with any active EVM positions or the compromised vaults below. Any active position on Mainnet, Base, Blast, or Berachain is impacted by the exploit. The following vaults are also unavailable for withdrawal: - Mainnet: sZYN, sBITCOIN, sWETH, sUSDC, sMOG, sREKT, sPEPE, sNEIRO - Base: sSKI, sUSDC, sWETH, sVIRTUAL, sBRETT, scbBTC, sAERO, sWELL - Blast: sUSDB, sWETH - Berachain: sWBERA, sHONEY If your vault is not listed above, you are unaffected and can withdraw at any time. We are actively working to resolve the situation. Due to an ongoing investigation, we're limited in what we can share right now. We'll update the community as soon as we're able. Thank you for your patience.

🚨 INTERESTING: Harvard Business School research found a toxic employee can cost over $12,000, while a top performer adds about $5,000, making toxic workers more than twice as costly.

The ~$290M LayerZero exploit proved that speed is irrelevant if funds aren't safe. The adoption of @chainlink CCIP + the CCT standard will only grow with time & exploits, as CCIP has never been hacked. Teams that value their users' safety are choosing accordingly.

PST meets institutional infra. Following an extensive security review, Huma selects @chainlink CCIP as the exclusive cross-chain infrastructure for PST and all future yield products. $12B+ in total transaction volume & zero credit defaults needs the highest safety standards.

Today Aftermath Finance sustained an exploit of its perpetuals protocol on Sui which was subsequently paused. The Sui Foundation, in partnership with Mysten Labs, has committed to working with Aftermath Finance to both ensure fund recovery to users and continuity of the Aftermath protocol. Aftermath will provide further updates on fund recovery shortly.
Aftermath Finance (🥚, 🥚)@AftermathFi

Update: Great news. Thanks to support from @Mysten_Labs and @SuiFoundation all users will be made whole ZERO losses for anyone. Aftermath will be up and running again soon. Thank you to both teams and to @blockaid_ for the rapid response. For clarity: this was not a Move contract-language security issue.

Crypto card spending is the next big trend: Crypto card spending volume has surged +500% since September 2024, now running at $600 million per month. As a result, stablecoin-linked payment cards are now one of the fastest growing businesses on the blockchain, with 90% of transactions captured by Visa, $V. Visa's strategy has centered around partnering with emerging infrastructure providers which reduces reliance on traditional sponsor banks. The growth comes amid the launch of Jupiter Global which returns 4-10% cash back to crypto cards and has seen +660% MoM volume growth in April. Crypto card adoption is growing.

We appreciate the support from our partners @Mantle_Official @Consensys @arbitrum @StaniKulechov @ether_fi @LidoFinance @The3D_ @golemproject @bgdlabs @Compound_xyz who played a pivotal role in the DeFi United recovery fund. Blockaid
Blockaid@blockaid_·
🚨 Blockaid detected and flagged an active exploit on @AftermathFi Perpetuals on @SuiNetwork. ~$1.1M USDC was drained across 11 transactions in ~36 minutes by attacker 0x1a65086c85114c1a3f8dc74140115c6e18438d48d33a21fd112311561112d41e. The exploit targeted a bug in the perp clearing house fee accounting, allowing synthetic collateral inflation and withdrawals from protocol vaults. We are supporting the @AftermathFi and @Mysten_Labs teams and will share more findings shortly
