Rhyme about economists.
I read Adam Smith, and about the ‘invisible’ hand.
The masters took it as their ‘hidden hand’.
Voltaire next, showed me the plan.
Giving me the language to see through position… and into the heart of man.
Milton Friedman came the closest, but couldn’t break the ceiling. He did his best to raise the floor, economic healing.
Sowell still alive, but his words were congressed and scorched.
Is there any real economist who can keep the flame, torched?
Here is what they don’t know… what the people don’t see.
Celebrities have handlers, IYKYK.
But the economists, EVERYWHERE, are caged by the masters of our keep.

@kaiotei_ They look like hospitals now and psychiatry / psychology is more medical than anything along with the way we approach mental health. Other than the locked doors sometimes and special rooms if needed, interview room, medical room, medication room nurses desk. Manger's office.

I can’t point to one. My apologies (Canadian sorry).
I would have to say, our ability to regulate emotions is the most powerful driver of positive change.
The reason why, is that you can’t actually control the emotion. It happens.
Like one time a cousin told me jealousy was a sin. And I felt so bad that he couldn’t just experience jealousy without feeling guilty about an emotional response. Now acting on jealousy might be a sin, but imagine just feeling it and then feeling bad for feeling that and so on. What a spiral…
