Congrats to faculty @VChockMD, @KrisaVan, and @stanfordpedsres resident @ElisabethYan on receiving funding to study brain injury in premature infants in Brazil. This further cements our longstanding partnership with our Brazilian #NeuroNICU collaborators led by @gabrielvariane.

1. Most infants with hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) who received therapeutic hypothermia @StanfordChild from 2008-2017 had multiorgan dysfunction (MOD) defined as at least 2 organ systems with dysfunction (n= 157, MOD in 77%). Findings published in @JPerinatology in July.
