Works are underway on our newest fully fenced dog park - this one will be our biggest yet in Maryland. Novocastrians love their doggos. There are now 63,000 of them in the Newcastle LGA. That’s a 43% increase since we adopted our Dogs in Open Space Strategy in 2019 🐶

#BREAKING WIN: @Uni_Newcastle staff have overwhelmingly rejected Management's non-union agreements with 89% of Academic staff and 75% of Professional staff voting NO. Management will now come back to negotiations where we'll push for a better deal for all. Well done Members!✊🎉

Result of our non-union ballot - a mandate from staff at this university who VOTED NO (more than 9:1 academic and 3:1 prof staff), against Management's proposed Agreements, and in favour of Mgmt returning to the table to negotiate for #securejobs #fairpay and #safeworkloads
