Can’t stop thinking about this scene in THE SUBSTANCE. Not seen anything quite like it before, in terms of how much it resonates with my experience … really hammers home why we need more female writer-directors (esp in horror) imo

THIS moment in The Substance is the most relatable scene of the year for me. It perfectly captures my exact experience of body dysmorphia in a way I’ve never seen in film before. Countless dates, events, and parties I’ve cancelled on because everything I put on my body and face makes me want to rip my hair and skin off.. Thank you Demi and Coralie 🥹💕

I really respect Stef O’Driscoll. For those who can’t get past the paywall, management insisted on references to trans rights and Palestine solidarity be taken out, and she stood her ground. Solidarity to Stef and to this company. It sounded like an amazing show.
