How this vile, disgusting, and immoral behavior has become normalized in the United States is something our descendants will study in school, to the shame of our generation.

@Baylor I’ll remember this the next time I get a phone call asking for alumni donations. Just another reason to decline!

Baylor is committed to providing a caring community, and to academic freedom, as a Christian research university. But our policies also remain unchanged, which is why the University has elected to return a recent grant. President Livingstone explains: bit.ly/3IdgRyj

It’s wild how many people think all doctors are shills for Big Pharma. Many of us have zero industry ties, no speaker gigs, no reps in our inbox. But go off, because nuance doesn’t fit in your conspiracy theories.

While all the doctors debate the merits of making the unpaid med students work overnight shifts, the admins work 9 to 5 and make more money than the pediatricians.

This is where JD is wrong. Love isn’t a checklist—fully love your child, check; fully love your neighbor, check; fully love your community, check—then move on. That’s not how morality works. Life isn’t a series of isolated tasks, neatly completed before moving to the next. Your obligation to your neighbor doesn’t begin only after your child has everything—it exists alongside it. So what are these “needs” we’re talking about? Are we justifying excess of our children while others suffer? Are we confusing luxury with necessity? Ethics isn’t about filling one box, closing it, and moving to the next. It’s about understanding the balance of responsibility, not using one duty as an excuse to ignore another.
JD Vance@JDVance

Just google “ordo amoris.” Aside from that, the idea that there isn’t a hierarchy of obligations violates basic common sense. Does Rory really think his moral duties to his own children are the same as his duties to a stranger who lives thousands of miles away? Does anyone?

CORTEZ MASTRO: A pregnant woman with a life-threatening bleed goes to the ER and her doctor determines she needs an emergency abortion. She's in a state where abortion is banned. You would agree that federal law protects her right to that emergency care, correct RFK Jr: Uh, I don't know
