@lupitamoreno471 @WrightMath314 @MrsGallardo1 Creating a vision for all of our students will ensure that they are equally supported in the learning process. Collaboration between teachers and staff can make a difference because together they can be acceptive of student differences.

@Ariannaarceoo @WrightMath314 @MrsGallardo1 Building trust within students is so important in creating a safe and brave environment. In order for students to be comfortable, they need to feel like they can count on their teacher for anything.

@TovarAlexsus @WrightMath314 @MrsGallardo1 Being understanding of students feelings can definitely go a long way! We as teachers need to be as understanding as possible because we need to show our students that we are there for them every step of the way.

@WrightMath314 @MrsGallardo1 A teacher who has empathy means that he or she is willing to understand, listen, and put oneself in the shoes of their students. Having empathy towards students plays an important role in creating positive relationships. #EDEL5200

@JezminQ @WrightMath314 @MrsGallardo1 @joboaler I liked that you mentioned that students get anxiety because they think they have to finish fast in order to be good at math. Speed absolutely has nothing to do with being fluent in math. Students should be taught number sense and not memorization to eliminate anxiety.

@WrightMath314 @MrsGallardo1 @joboaler Some ways I will encourage students to use numbers flexibly is by incorporating daily activities to increase math fluency in the beginning of our math time. Some examples are number talks, “which one doesn’t belong?”, and estimations. This will become routine in the classroom.

@WrightMath314 @joboaler @MrsGallardo1 Q1: Memorization of math facts is unnecessary and damaging because students aren’t able to truly understand and gain number sense. Memorizing prohibits students to comprehend and explain how they got their answer which are key components in mathematics.

@WrightMath314 @joboaler @MrsGallardo1 Q3: One of the main reasons why students have anxiety when it comes to math is due to timed tests. Students feel pressured and rushed which causes them to give up. Timed tests limits student to show their true abilities and knowledge.

@WrightMath314 @joboaler @MrsGallardo1 Q5: Number talks are seen to be effective in the classroom because it allows students to share their thinking about a mathematical problem to their classmates. When students express their thinking, others have the opportunity to gain a wide range of strategies.

This technology course has been one of my favorites. I’ve already learned so much about how using technology can be a life changing experience in every childs’ education. I can’t wait to learn more about the resources available to educators! #csubedte4200 #csubted

@teachsci8 A4) Informing students on how to use technology an appropriate amount and for things that will be productive is really important! Instead of being consumers inform them that they can be the producers and create something beneficial to themselves and others! @teachsci8 #CSUBTED

@teachsci8 A4: We can promote children publishing and producing with technology by assigning projects for them to work on individually and with groups. For example, they can do research on a topic and create a prezi presentation to share with their peers. #csubte4200 #csubted @teachsci8

@Ststansberry A3) Technology facilitates collaboration through social media, video teleconferencing, and email. ClassDojo, and even Facebook, allows parents and educators to communicate instantly. Zoom allows educators to meet without physically meeting. @teachsci8 #csubted #csubte4200
