@NatedawgO7 As a landlord myself I can never understand those who won’t provide a comfortable place to live for their tenants. It’s a responsibility. I installed air con in bedrooms even when my property managersaid “nah don’t, it’s only a cheap rental”.

How do people spend literally over half a million dollars and not do very basic research of how to run essentially your new business. I did more research last night buying a $150 rabbit hutch cause I didn’t want to have to replace it in 6 months if it falls apart lol

@law_martian @NatedawgO7 I am a landlord who just bought my fourth property. Toilets and plumbers are very expensive. I was wondering if a bucket would be okay? A friend of mine, who is a really good landlord, pays for tenants to shower at a local caravan park, as there is no shower in one of his houses.

@CNviolations If I was being asked to leave the plane when I'd paid for my seat, I'd want them to articulate a reason too. And I would happily cause inconvenience and cost for the company until that happens. They owe you that much at least.

My future mother-in-law just informed me that she paid over $1K for this light pink beaded dress and plans to wear it to our wedding next week, completely ignoring our “navy blue because we want the mothers to be our something blue” conversation from months ago. When I gently reminded her about the color scheme, she got defensive and said, “well, your family can be in blue,” like this is some kind of competition between the mothers instead of a wedding where we hoped everyone would follow the same plan. Now I’m stuck wondering if I should buy my own mother a matching pink dress so she doesn’t feel underdressed, or if that makes me the crazy one for enabling this whole situation. I’ve already found the perfect secondhand formal dress online that would match his mother’s style and price range, and I’m sitting here debating whether spending money I don’t have on a dress my mom doesn’t even want is worth keeping the peace at my wedding. Part of me thinks I should just let it go and have mismatched mothers, but the other part of me knows my mom will feel self-conscious standing next to someone in a thousand-dollar gown while she’s wearing something from her closet.
