In the process of developing the screenplay adaptation with 2 writing partners, I’ve learned a lot about why films based on books often deviate from the original stories.  Each has to stand on its own and each supports the other with branding and audience growth.

The teaser/trailer is coming along and what they have done so far is masterful. I think the animation team producer was enchanted by the story as a whole and by the magical abilities of some of the characters that lend themselves to animation.

John Blumen, artist who illustrated my book, Ten Fingers Touching, is featured in an exhibit at the #HeinzHistoryCenter. “Gateway” explores the entrance to Pittsburgh, literally and symbolically, using allegorical figures to convey the city’s industrial past & creative present.
