@vivoplt It really depends because I feel like Codex is stronger at coding. Claude isn’t only just good at generating code it’s great at reasoning which is important for following instructions, explaining things, debugging etc. Don’t forget there’s more coming with Claude too.

Hot take: Codex could overtake Claude by the end of the year.

@Surendar__05 If you're a developer then MacBook still isn't that necessary to be honest, you should go with whatever OS you're comfortable with. If you want to develop iOS apps and stuff having a MacBook is crucial.

@flavioAd AI sped up development a lot and allowed people to build even bigger ideas for the same or less time. Your brain loves instant rewards over delayed rewards too, extra effort makes people procrastinate.

@Samaytwt Some people prefer owning startups because of flexibility. Working 9-5 all the time can burn you out at older ages. Mental health and peace is more of a priority for some people which is valid.

Unpopular opinion: 9-5 with a high salary is better than owning your own startups.

@nalinrajput23 It depends on the project, frontend is usually better to start because you can figure out what you're building properly. Also if your requirements change frontend would expose that quickly. Backend seems smarter to start if your app is data-heavy.

@AbhinavXJ Java's probably going to always be a safe language to learn. A lot of companies built their systems in Java like banks 10-20 years ago. Nobody wants to really replace it either because rewriting those kinds of systems is risky.

@hizzzyai They’re both nearly as useless as each other but the developer who can code without AI is slightly better. But it depends if the person who can’t code without AI actually understands frontend/backend concepts etc.

Unpopular opinion: Developers who can't code without AI are more valuable than developers who refuse to use it.

Watching tutorials can feel like progress. But then struggling to build something feels like failure. But remember failure should be our teacher, not our undertaker. Failure is delay, not defeat.
