What's the single best piece of advice you've ever gotten about writing from someone who has a career in writing/publishing that you envy?

Call me crazy, but I think war is wrong. Period. Blowing up civilians is not a good thing to do. Blowing up anyone is not good to do. If you're a banker profiting off both sides of the war, life is good for you. But for the bottom 99%, this is wrong. War is never the answer.

#indiemusicians are, in my (mostly worthless) opinion, the only REAL musicians let. Amateur, independent musicians do it cause they love music. The rest do it for the almighty dolla dolla bill, y'all

@VintageRockN_85 Several when I played guitar in a touring rock band. We opened for dozens of big names. Most "rockstars" were cool but a few were absolute assholes (the dude from Godsmack is the most obvious example).

Have you ever met a Rockstar?

@TheBookshopMan That's fantastic! I had a 4,000-word day last week and I thought THAT was good lol. But 8,000 is literally twice as good haha. Congrats, that's awesome!

I've officially given up on trying to make a living with music and have gone back to writing. For perspective, I made more in my first month back at writing than I did in the previous year from music.
