Here's my thing. He had an opinion and I gave mine. We can agree to disagree. The two biggest issues I had was his examples of what he thinks he hears which is weed and guns is just telling giving with his rep. And the second was how fans came to different posts of different nerdcore artists with the sentiment that nerdcore should only be one way and that's it. I think if you make music you should be able to freely do it how you want, and if its nerdcore I think someone adding there personal experiences is just the evolution of that genre. There are no set rules in this so why are we holding artist to a certain style when we can freely make nerdcore in ways we want and see fit. If the listeners dont like it that's fine cause that's your preference at the end of the day. Our conversation turned more towards racial issues cause thats how it was feeling to me. Him bringing up "I watched 106&park and Rap City every day after school" is like hey i have black friends so I can't be racist. Other people dogpiled on him for there own reasons and hate for him. It seems because you see this tweet its to him but we all were debating or arguing with multiple ppl that day.

Not one person said anyone has to bend to our wishes. Not once did I say you should conform to my views. Not once did I plea for ppl to listen to me so I don't know where your getting this victim mentality. Nor did I take offense until it got personal. He made a statement and i give an opinion, that's what happens on a public forum. Seems your taking more offense to the fact someone just gives his points that don't align with your friend and I get it you want to defend your friend regardless if he is a racist. And yes I did bring up his platform but only in the sense that he has a platform and shouldn't use it to state what is or isn't nerdcore because he simply states it. No one complained about any of the things you bring up and your tweets and no matter how much you keep tweeting it, those aren't the facts. The same way he keeps saying he anit racist but yet using slurs behind closed doors. You state whatever you want online but dont be a bitch when people dont agree and push back.

Holy victim mentality lol. I moved no goal post, I addressed every point you made complaining “people with a bigger platform”. Josh made a statement about his preference, which happens to be the preference of what also makes people have those “big platforms” you’re complaining about. The way you want to make your music is fine, but don’t complain about people not bending to your tastes when you won’t bend to theirs. No one said you couldn’t make music “your way”, Josh’s opinion nor what I said ever even said that or “invalidated” want you do. But it’s arrogant of you for saying everyone should have YOUR view just because you feel it should be that way, which is what you’re actively saying and neither Josh or I said that. This a perfect example of why I think nerdcore arent fans of music itself. Using themes of shows n comics to tell a story within your own music is frowned upon. It’s almost sad that some of the artist that are blessed with big platforms in this community look down on this concept

Only yall are now bringing up how it makes money and how it’s grows a fan base, but we are talking about just from a musicians standpoint of how they want to make their music in nerdcore. Because I add personal experience while Still using the themes of the show or bars referencing the characters doesn’t automatically mean it’s not nerdcore just cause yall deem it not to be. You wanna make your music that way that’s fine, and it makes profit for you that’s great. But don’t invalidate others who don’t do it your way and then try and state how it’s about the money and fanbase. Cause we are artist first, some don’t view music by metrics of money and fanbase but with the music they are creating and if it’s great to them then to others. Wild concept I know but not everyone cares about the same things as you do.

It’s the perception that the only way nerdcore is that it’s done your way and that just an arrogant way of thinking. People make nerdcore music in different ways.
