@ElmleaUK love elmlea plant love it I can have cream without the stomach ache (dairy intolerant not vegan) but opened a newly bought pot today and poured over pudding to find it black at the bottom :( I don’t think it’s meant to be like that :(:(:(

@MrsB6574 We recommend you firmly shake the pot before opening it, to avoid any potential residue at the bottom.

@MrsB6574 This doesn’t mean the product is not useable or that something has gone wrong in the production of it. This naturally grey / beige colour of the Faba Beans, will fluctuate a bit from product to product due to the natural colour variation in the beans.

@KF1000 @sainsburys Hi Keith, thanks for reaching out. We are sorry you do not like our new Plant Cream. We can confirm this is a new addition to the range, not a replacement, and our regular Elmlea cream is still available for you to purchase at your local retailer.

For years, @ElmleaUK gave us its excellent “alternative to cream”. Then along to my local @sainsburys came ‘Plant’. Fine for vegans, perhaps, but I for one will not be buying this murky looking and tasting version again. It’s horrible. Sorry!

@ElmleaUK hi. Bought 2 of these to whip to put on a trifle. Tried whipping but it didnt thicken up at all and stayed runny. Its misleading. Very unhappy about this purchase. So why is this cream that says it can be whipped "pour, cook, whip", not thickening??

@ElmleaUK @upfieldglobal It was very grainy in texture as well. As you can see on the photos it may have been opened or not sealed correctly as there is what looks like dried cream on the rim. Can anything be done?

@upfieldglobal I purchased some of the elmlea plant single cream. Is it meant to smell mildly fermented and have a dark grey colour?? I put some of the double in the top to show the difference in colour.

@linden_beamish @upfieldglobal This naturally grey/beige colour of the Faba Beans, will fluctuate a bit from product to product due to the natural colour variation in the beans but should not affect performance or taste.
