@ElvisIbenacho layered security is everything but ngl seeing AI tools find vulns humans miss is wild. still gonna need human oversight for threat modeling though - ai doesn't think like attackers do

😊 New security feature from Claude (vulnerability scanning). I hope this doesn't introduce more bugs and vulnerabilities to systems. Cybersecurity is about layered security architecture, not one-size-fits-all. Use wisely. All the same, welcome development 🙂

This is what it means for cybersecurity now: Vulnerabilities that once took weeks to fix manually can now be patched in minutes at "machine speed". Anthropic predicts a future where a significant portion of the world's code is constantly scanned by AI, raising the baseline security for everyone.  While Claude Code Security is a "shield" for defenders, Anthropic warned that the same technology can be used as a "sword" by attackers to find exploits faster than ever We are entering an era of "human-directed, machine-driven" attacks where even low-skilled criminals can execute sophisticated, multi-stage campaigns. Risk increases basically.
George Pu@TheGeorgePu

Anthropic published a blog post one hour ago. Cybersecurity stocks have lost $10B since. CrowdStrike -6.5%. Cloudflare -6%. Okta -5.7%. One blog post. One hour. $10B gone.

Everyone thinks the FBI "hacked" Tor to find the Silk Road. They didn't. Tor worked fine. Ross Ulbricht fell because of OPSEC (Operational Security) 101 failures. Before Silk Road was a titan, Ross was its biggest hype man. He posted on forums using his real email address to promote "this cool new site." You can’t build a secret empire on a foundation of your own Google results. Forensic investigators don’t always need a back door; they just need a search engine.

@elormkdaniel I would like to know how Ross William was tracked and arrested if it actually runs with anonymity?

Here’s why ThinkPads are the biggest innovation in laptop tech 🖤💻 ThinkPads are legendary among laptops, and the hype is real and valid One of the biggest reasons is how modular they are. That means you can open them up easily, swap parts like RAM, storage, batteries, and even keyboards on some models. You don’t need to be a tech wizard, tools are simple, screws are standard, and replacement parts are usually easy to find. This is a huge plus compared to most modern laptops that are glued shut and impossible to upgrade. On top of that, ThinkPads are easy to fix. If something breaks, you usually just replace the broken part, and boom, your laptop is like new. No complicated soldering, no paying a fortune for repairs, just simple DIY maintenance and small YouTube. For students, professionals, or anyone who relies on their laptop daily, this is a massive advantage. Then there’s the reliability factor. ThinkPads are built like tanks. Seriously. They can survive drops, spills, crazy heat, and rough handling that would destroy other laptops. They’re basically the Toyota of laptops, meaning they just keep going, year after year, without major issues. Some older ThinkPads from 10–15 years ago still run perfectly today. Genuinely those laptops could survive a nuke Finally, ThinkPads are made to last a lifetime. While other laptops feel disposable after a few years, a ThinkPad can easily outlive a few generations of tech users. You get consistent performance, a solid keyboard, and a dependable machine that won’t betray you when you need it most. In short, the ThinkPad hype comes from modularity, repairability, insane reliability, and longevity. It’s not just a laptop; it’s a lifelong tool that refuses to die Thank you @Lenovo for @LenovoThinkPad

Because they are built for corporations, thousands of high-end ThinkPads enter the secondhand market every year as companies refresh their hardware. This has created a massive underground culture of enthusiasts who buy them for cheap, upgrade them, and keep them running for another decade. Linux Compatibility: While most laptops struggle with driver issues, ThinkPads are the unofficial kings of the Linux community. Their hardware is so standard and well-documented that they almost always "just work" with any operating system you throw at them.
