@FOCUSPORTALS Well, I care because I'm an Elvis but you also apparently cared enough to post a comment. So at least 2 people care.

@DiscussingFilm This has been in the works for a very long time and it has always been a bad idea. In fact, they thought about doing this a remake before but they scraped the show because some actors just own some characters. Just watch... they'll come for this guy next:

Currently over 1,300 family members of soldiers who were lost on the U.S.S. Arizona are pushing for permanent exhibit the citizen action of Elvis Presley and others who helped complete the memorial. Here's The Information: ussarizona.navy/elvis-presley/ Operation 85’s Executive Director Kevin Kline, speaking on behalf of over 1,300 family members, has opened conversations with Jack Soden, CEO of Elvis Presley Enterprises, and the National Park Service Superintendent at  Pearl Harbor about what an appropriate, accurate, and dignified presentation could look like and what are the chances it could ever be achieved. The National Park Service (NPS)—which administers the memorial and museum—would, of course, need to approve any new permanent exhibit. The spirit of this effort is not celebrity worship; it is historical completeness. The families want visitors to understand that the memorial we revere today exists because ordinary citizens, public servants, and one globally known entertainer pulled together at a moment when the project was stalling. A very similar approach to how Operation 85 stepped in to bring the Unknowns from the U.S.S. Arizona back to the forefront.

#ElvisHistory: March 25, 1961: Elvis Presley gave a charity concert at the Bloch Arena in Honolulu, Hawaii for the U.S.S. Arizona Memorial. More than 4,000 fans attended the concert, purchasing tickets ranging in price from $3 to $100. Elvis wore his gold lamé coat for the last time. He raised between $54-64K and reignited public interest in the project. By the end of 1961, Congress promised the remained funds to reach the $500, 000 goal needed. The Arizona Memorial was dedicated on May 30, 1962—a national promise kept at last.

@iAnonPatriot It's funny that this is the only clip that keeps getting shared from this interview even though it's 20 minutes long and the reporters kept after him the entire time. The man never fell into the blatantly obvious traps. He was a true professional.

Throwback to Elvis Presley getting asked about his political beliefs and thoughts on the war.. “I just want to keep my own personal views about that to myself — I’m just an entertainer.”

@TheLOSTFans I love the ending. I've always felt that it was satisfying for the viewers who were more invested in the character arcs than the mysteries being solved.

@RisimgS783 @XOQueenEsther Exactly. It clearly didn't fit her. Some things are meant to just be preserved and admired from behind panes of glass unless being CAREFULLY handled by people who know what they are doing.

@ElvisRose_ @XOQueenEsther Im upset with both of them . That dress will never be the same it’s an Historical artifact and it’s sad, of course I’d want to wear anything Elvis but I certainly wouldn’t shoe horn myself into it! Just get a replica done if you want to pay homage.

Remember the massive outrage & backlash Kim Kardashian got after she wore a 60 year old museum artefact, the iconic nude crystal gown Marilyn Monroe wore in 1962 while singing “Happy Birthday” to John F. Kennedy. And it wasn’t some small online noise either. The backlash came from fashion historians, conservators, celebrities, and the general public all at once. I think sometimes that kind of reaction is exactly what’s needed to keep celebrity entitlement in check. A moment where the world actually came together for the right reason. 🥰

I will forever defend Elvis's movies as both an avid Elvis fan and movie lover. His movies show range, natural acting ability, and some of his most iconic songs originate from his movies. Elvis has many good films in his filmography.

#ElvisHistory: March 23, 1956: Elvis Presley released his self-titled debut album from RCA Victor. It's the first rock 'n roll record to sell a million copies. The first rock record to top Billboard Top Pop Albums chart where it spent 10 weeks at number one.

@savannahLee01 @RisimgS783 There's only one Elvis movie that I really can't stand and it's because the actress opposite him just grates on my nerves. I know Elvis was frustrated as an actor but I think his films fit nicely into his overall career. A lot of people love his movies and see his talent.

My comfort movie is Girl Happy but in the films Follow That Dream, Flaming Star, Charro and Wild In The Country- Elvis disappears into the roles for me which is where he shows his talent. It’s Elvis but you don’t get ELVIS the superstar even if some had songs. He did well with more storyline when given it.

@ElvisRose_ There’s a warm familiar feeling you get when watching an Elvis movie, I can’t put my finger on it but last night I had a bit of a marathon of them and it just made me feel really good. Comfort films ❤️⚡️

@kasubo It took me an embarrassing number of rewatches of King Creole to recognize that woman as Morticia Addams! The eyes were always familiar but the short hair really threw me off! LOL!
