Kartikeya In ancient times, the divine seed of Shiva fell into fire. Agni could not contain its immense power and therefore placed it in the Ganga River. Unable to bear it, Ganga deposited the seed on Himalaya, where a radiant child was born. The six celestial maidens called the Krittikas found the child, and each wished to claim him as her son. To satisfy them, the child manifested six mouths and nursed from all of them. Because of this, he became known as Kartikeya, though he was also called Gangeya. The child grew in splendour and was worshipped by gods, Gandharvas, and sages; Brihaspati performed his birth rites, and the Vedas and the science of arms themselves came to serve him.

This shloka grants the siddhi of Sakala–Jana–Vaśyatā — the ability to influence and win over all people. Not through force or manipulation. But through a presence that naturally attracts respect, warmth, and cooperation. This is Shloka–43 of Saundarya Lahari. Rishi: Adi Shankaracharya Chandas: Shikharini Devata: Lalita Devi Siddhi: Sakala–Jana–Vaśyatā Shloka–43: धुनोतु ध्वान्तं नः तुळितदळितेन्दीवरवनं घनस्निग्धश्लक्ष्णं चिकुरनिकुरुम्बं तव शिवे । यदीयं सौरभ्यं सहजमुपलब्धुं सुमनसो वसन्त्यस्मिन् मन्ये वलमथनवाटीविटपिनाम् ॥४३॥ dhunōtu dhvāntaṁ naḥ tuḷita-daḷitēndīvara-vanaṁ ghana-snigdha-ślakṣṇaṁ cikura-nikurumbaṁ tava śivē yadīyaṁ saurabhyaṁ sahajaṁ upalabdhuṁ sumanasō vasanty asmin manyē valamathana-vāṭī-viṭapinām 43 ✨ Meaning in essence: O Divine Mother, May the darkness within us be dispelled by the sight of Your beautiful hair — soft, glossy, and deep black, like a forest of freshly blossomed blue lotuses. From this divine hair flows a natural fragrance so enchanting that the celestial flowers themselves seem to gather there, as though seeking that fragrance. It is as if the gardens of Indra’s heaven have blossomed within Your hair. This verse reveals a subtle truth. 👉 Divine beauty carries a natural power of attraction. 👉 Purity and grace create a presence that draws people effortlessly. 👉 When the mind becomes refined, influence becomes natural.
