A Dem is going to win. The question is which one? The front runner @ericswalwell is dedicated to massively increasing the budget with ZERO accountability. Mahan is the opposite. A moderate Dem like him is our only hope.

CA is one of only 7 states (all blue) that let "tip" employees receive a FULL minimum wage PLUS all tips.
The net result is that CA liberal arts college grads frequently make more waiting on tables than they would using their (admittedly often useless) college degrees.

The day the Affordable Care Act passed was one of my proudest moments as president, because it meant that millions of Americans would have access to health care, some for the first time. The ACA also prevented insurance companies from denying people with pre-existing conditions coverage, allowed young people under the age of 26 to remain on their parents’ plan, expanded Medicaid, and so much more. But the ACA was always meant to be a first step. We still have to do more to expand access and make health care more affordable for everyone.

When I was 17 in 1982 I had-
-My driver's license
-My own car that I bought myself for $400
-My own car insurance that I paid for
-A part time job a mile from my house
-A girlfriend
-Two parents with a stay at home mom
-Movie theaters with more first-run gems than you can now find in a decade of films
-Access to theme parks that weren't overrun with scum
-Lots of drinking buddies
-Normal street fights that didn't risk death by pistol
-Almost no sense or care of politics
-Freedom of movement and disconnection when wanted (no cell phones)
-Great music on the radio
-Access to clubs thanks to my older brother's expired ID that I changed the exp date on. (paper license)
-Etc.
I could go on and on. It isn't just nostalgia. We have lost so much that it's heartbreaking. I have sincere sympathy for young men living in our current times.
